BRUER, EARLY, MARKLE, WHITNEY -
I found Charles MARKLE, 28 April 1828, in the Bedford County Index to Wills, 1754-1830. Is it possible to obtain a copy of the will? Please tell me from whom I could request a copy. Second, my early ancestor Tabitha Whitney MARKLE died June 14, 1818 in Liberty, Virginia. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church for more than 30 years. This information was in the Bedford Genealogical Society Newsletter, August 1993. Which church would this have been? Is there a cemetery attached to it? Where would Charles and Tabitha have been buried? Is the Charles Markle Bible held by the Early family still around? I am planning a trip to Virginia next fall. I would like to locate and visit the gravesites. If the Bible were available, I would like to see it. My relationship is great granddaughter of Richard Bruer MARKLE, son of John MARKLE and Harriet BRUER, grandson of Tabitha and Charles MARKLE. Thank you for whatever assistance you can give me.

HAZLEWOOD -
I am seeking information on my great grandfather, N. H. Hazlewood and his family. In the 1870 census he is listed in Lynchburg, Campbell County. In the 1880 census he is listed in Madison, Amherst County. In the 1880's he purchased a home in Bedford County and lived there until his death. While living in Bedford County the family most likely was associated with the Montvale Presbyterian Church. Several family members are buried at the church cemetery.

CRUM, FURLONG -
Searching for the marriage record of William CRUM and Martha FURLONG, widow, Liberty, Bedford Co., VA. about 1780. He joined the Revolutionary War about 1778. His Pension Papers do not indicate his parents and statements made by Martha and him indicate they were married by a Methodist minister in Liberty.
