My forefather lived in Goochland County, enlisted in the Revolutionary Army in Williamsburg and
served with the 5th Virginia Regt. of Foot and mustered out in Valley Forge. My research shows
that folks from Bedford Co, served in the 5th. Was there a uniform or did they dress as militia?
If there was a uniform for the Regt. do you know where I could obtain a print of a soldier in
that uniform? Thanks for your assistance.

PARKER -
The Bedford County Order Book # 9, page 132, has entries, in December 1787 as follows:
"Ord. that the Over,s,of the poor Bind out Aaron and Moses Parker Children of Mary Parker
and so saw"
The next entry on the same page reads "Ord. that the Over,s od the poor
Bind out Wm Parker, Jesse Parker and Levi Parker also two other younger children whose names are
not known. Children of Sarah Parker and so saw"
We have extensive information on Mary
Parker and the descendants of her children. Believe Sarah Parker may be a sister of
Mary Parker. Would like to have information on Sarah and her children. Can anyone help us?
Thank you.
