Have reached an impasse at researching my ancestors at James Madison Carder (1813-1891)in Bedford County, VA. He was married to Sarah Coates according to the records that I have but I have little other information as to marriage dates or place. He had two sons, Charles R. (my direct lineage) and Macon P. . Both were involved in the cabinet/casket making business and the funeral home business (Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, still in business in the City of Bedford today). Other children of James M. Cassie Ann WITT was born in Bedford Co. on Nov. 16, 1812. She married Matthew CREASY/ CREASEY on January 2, 1836 in Bedford Co. He was born about 1810, but was he born in Bedford County? Who were his parents? Also, when and where did they die? They may have been the parents of Charles D., William H., Patsy Jane, and John Roger CREASY/CREASEY. Did they have any other children? John Roger WITT was born in July 1825 in Bedford Co. He was the son of Martha 'Patsey' WILLIAMS and Benjamin WITT. He married Marinda J. WADE on Sept. 1, 1872 in Bedford Co. Marinda was the daughter of William A. WADE and Mary A. ????. Did John Roger and Marinda J. WITT have any children? When and where did John Roger WITT and Marinda J. WADE WITT die? Does anyone know where they are buried? John Roger WITT may have first married Sara Melissa WILLIAMS about 1845 in Bedford County or in one of the surrounding counties. Do you have the exact date?
