Land records indicated George is the father of Joseph WHITE b. abt 1760 died before Nov 24, 1844 when his will was proved; children of Joseph include: Sarah, Uriah, George (1783) m. Sarah FREEMAN (1796); Elizabeth; Jane (Gincy); Massey; John; Mary Polly; Jesse. All children born in Bedford Co VA. Interested any information on this family.

Seeking information on ggggggrandparents: Charity Ann HUNTER m. Richard MARTIN. Charity was born ca 1765 in Bedford Co., possibly to Andrew & Mary HUNTER. Charity had brothers Andrew, Peter, George, Matthew, and John, all of whom settled along the Mayo river. Charity and Richard probably married after he completed his service in MD and he moved to VA enroute to NC. To the best of my knowledge there is no record of a pension being granted - though he supposedly gave an affadavit in Rockingham Co. Court. Any info on the HUNTER family - some of whom I think remained in Bedford Co., would be appreciated. Thanks

Isaac EMERY, was born in Bedford Co., VA abt. 1781. His parents were Adam EMERY and Sarah HIBBS, I believe both were born in VA. Isaac Emery married in Hardin Co., KY, in 1807. He and his parents died there. Isaac married a Elizabeth MUDD, of VA. Her parentage being Walter MUDD and Vilender (?). I would like to correspond with anyone doing research on these families.

I'm researching the ancestors and descendants of three brothers from Bedford County who fought in Lord Dunmore's War: Elias BARKER, Joseph BARKER and William BARKER. Each was enrolled in Capt. Jonas Friend's Company. The brothers later moved to the Tygart River Valley, near present day Belington, WVA, and about 1780 moved on again to Madison County, Kentucky. Joseph BLACKWELL married 1814 in Bedford Co VA, to Susannah PATTERSON (d/o Robert). Is anyone working on this family? My BLACKWELL family includes every other BLACKWELL marriage bond listed in Bedford Co BUT this Joseph's marriage. I need to find out about him. This name Joseph, may be a clue back for my family.
