Looking for information on Waller Padgett, who married Ann Rusher on Dec. 23, 1815. Who were his parents, siblings, and children ? I can find no record of them after a land sale in the 1820s.

Joseph Pugh (Pew) b:1753 in Bedford Co. He married Elizabeth Hunt b:1763 in Kentucky. Elizabeth was the daughter of Col. Jonathon Hunt b: Abt. 1716 and Margaret Lowrance (Lawrence). Does anyone have any additional information on these people? Thanks, Michael Bayless

My grandfather was adopted. I have recently learned that his name at birth was Dutch Bradford Witt. He was born in Bedford County. He had an older brother and sister who were placed in an orphanage. Dutch was never legally adopted by the people who raised him, Lizzie and Aubry Padget, although they named him Paige Hamner Padget. I am trying to find out the names of his real parents, who I assume were Witts. No one in the family seems to know what happened to them, or how my grandfather came to be adopted by the Padgets. My grandfather and his adoptive parents have long since died. I would appreciate any information on this, or information about where I may locate these records. Thank you

I am seeking info on Burnettes. My gggrandfather, I believe William Burnette, left Bedford County, Va. prior to 1850. First moving to Pittsylvania County, Va. and then to Gladys in Campbell County Va. Gladys may have been called "Pigeon Run" at that time. My ggrandfather was John Edward Burnette, b 6-9-1851, my grandfather was Otey Guster Burnette, b. 11-27-1887 and grandmother was Mary Hester Keesee Burnette, b. 2-6-1889. I would appreciate any info from the Bedford County period.

Looking for any information on James McMinis who married Mary Hudson, possible middle name Polly... on Dec 22, 1840.. He possibly came for Ireland and his birth Date 1785 or 1801 died abt Dec 12, 1856...Any information on either James or Mary Hudson would be greatly appreciated. Names could have been spelled also McMinnis. I found the marriage record of James mcMinis in the bedford County and I know that his son was married in Pittsyslvania co. But James might be buried in any of the surrounding counties. James and Mary Hudson would be great great grandparents Thank you.

Believe Nancy may be connected to the John Willis Clayton, Sr. lines of Bedford Co., VA and am trying to connect an Augustine Willis CLAYTON who was b. ca. 1765 VA who served in Rev. War from SC. Believe the CLAYTON families of Bedford Co., VA connect with a Thomas HARVEY, SR. b. 1705 VA and wife Elizabeth BLASSINGAME in Charlotte Co., VA later (deeds).
