COX, MASSEY, RICHARDSON, RICHESON, TAYLOR -
Hi, my maiden name was Richardson. I have recently started doing some family history research and I have come to a dead end. I have reached all the way back to Canada Richardson who was supposedly the son of Johnathan Richardson. Canada married a woman named Jane Cox who was the daughter of Captain John Cox. Anyway, I have got stuck at Johnathan Richardson. Records which I have found in various online sites say he was born in Bedford, VA. He married a woman named Elizabeth Taylor and then remarried a woman named Anne Massey. Some records have all of the same information but different birth and death dates. I have found some that say Johnathan was born in 1715 and others that say he was born in 1748. It is possible that he spelled his Last name as "Richeson" as well, instead of Richardson. All, I am trying to figure out is his correct birth date and who his parents were, and who their parents were. Ultimately I am trying to find out when the Richardson or "Richeson" family immigrated to the America. If you have any information that could lead me to these answers i would greatly appreciate it! I have been doing a lot of research and just can't seem to find anything else. It's getting very frustrating.

HUTCHERSON, JORDAN, McKINNEY   -
I am looking for the parents of Sally Jordan, born circa 1750 in Virginia. Died 1811 Campbell (Bedford) County, VA. She married John McKinney Sr., born 1750-51 probably VA, parents unknown (possibly Archibald McKinney of the New Jersey to Kentucky line, Mordecai, Daniel Hiram etc. who were in VA, Augusta [Rockbridge] and later Washington Counties at that time). John McKinney Sr. died in Campbell County July 11, 1807. He was a Rev. War Vet. They lived (farmed) at Bedford, west-southwest of Lynchburg. Their children (according to the oocities.org/Relations website) were Willie (?), Charles, John Jr., Henry, William, James, Jordan, Maryann, Sally, Betsy, Hannah, Daniel, Fannie and Nancy. They are my direct ancestors (6th generation) through their son John McKinney Jr. who moved to Green County, Kentucky 1800-1810. He married Hannah Baldwin Hutcherson, daughter of William Sr. and Mary Marshall Hutcherson in Campbell County in 1793. They both died in Green County, Kentucky.
This is all information that I just Googled, no follow up. Some of it is reliable and some (oocities especially) may not be. She was most likely a daughter of Jonas Jordan but is nowhere (that I can find) listed among his children.

BURTON, SMITH   -
I am looking for info on John W. Smith. Marriage records in Pulaski County Va list his birth in Bedford County Va 1861. It lists his father and mother as A Smith and M Smith. He married Lucy Ada Burton in 1882 in Pulaski County Va. I have looked in 1870 census and can't seem to find him. I did find an A A Smith and an A B Smith that look promising, but neither seem to have a child John. I don't have any info on any possible brothers or sisters. I would like to identify his parents at least.

HOWELL, HOWETT, MORRIS, OLIVER, SCOTT   -
I am still looking for the parents of Micajah G. Morris, born abt 1811 in Va. Married 20 Dec 1832 to Lively M Scott.
In later years they lived in Thaxtons, Va and both died in this town. He died in 1895 and she died 10 Nov. 1893. Have never been able to locate a death certificate for Micajah.
Through more searching I believe that his father is John Morris who married Feb 12, 1800 to Lucretia Howell/Howett. And Johns' parents might be Samuel Morris and Mary Lewis Oliver and Samuel father might be Benjamin Morris who died Dec 13, 1791.
Not sure I am on the correct track, and need some help. Will be very thankful for anything anyone can send me regarding this Morris family. Thanks,

FOX, WOOD -
Looking for information on: WOOD/FOX
I am searching for info on MARIE or MAMIE WOOD married to JAMES FOX. Their birthdates are between 1805 - 1810. They were married 1834 or before. I am looking in Bedford Co because their daughter Elizabeth Ann Rebecca "Bette" Fox's marriage bond states she was born in Bedford Co., so I'm also checking on any info on Bette as well. All of my info on Elizabeth Ann Rebecca "Bette" Fox ends after 1846 so she may have died about that time. I would appreciate any info that would help my search.

BARBOUR, BOBBITT, DREWERY, ELLIOTT, HARRIS, KRANTZ, WATKINS -
I am looking for information about my ancestors prior to William Ruffus Krantz and Sabra Katherine Bobbitt (daughter of Thomas Clavin Bobbitt and Mary Barbour Bobbitt) - they were my Great-Grandparents and raised their children in Bedford County, VA. Their children were: Evvie Mae, William Davis ("Willie" - my Granddaddy), Alfred Lloyd, Lizzie Bell, Luther Johnson, Charlie Royal, and Hubert Lee Krantz. Ruffus died when the children were still young, so Granddaddy quit school (3rd grade) and went to work to help support the family. Sabra married a Watkins later on, was widowed a second time, and then married an Elliott. (Mr. Elliott was the cemetery caretaker at Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg, VA back in the 1930's-1940's.) I'm in the process updating a family tree prepared in the 1970's that goes back to Sabra and Ruffus, as well as trying to research further back. I would especially like to have the names of their parents, grandparents, etc. I can share the family tree and a few photos, as well. Unfortunately, no birth, death or marriage dates are on the document I have, so I'm looking for that information as well. My cousin, Janet Krantz Hall, is helping me with this project, so I'd also like to find some information about her grandmother (our grandfather's first wife), Nellie Ann Harris (Jan. 3, 1900 - Dec. 25, 1933). Nellie married William Davis Krantz and they lived in a nice house in the town of Bedford. (Several years after Nellie died, Willie married my grandmother, Elsie Mae Drewery.) Many thanks!
