EDWARDS, LARGE, WILLIAMS, WINESETT -
I have found that Maude Williams Winesett married George Houston Edwards
after her first husband, John Foster Winesett, died in 1917. She married Houston in
1921. They had several children. Houston and at least 2 of his sons are buried at the Woodlawn
United Methodist church. I am still trying to find out if Maude is also buried there or somewhere
else. Also, Maude had a daughter, Okle Pauline Winesett that married Herbert Large.
I need to know where Okle is buried. She moved to Roanoke and was an accountant/tax preparer in
the 1940's. She died in 1948. Can anyone put me in contact with John Edwards? He was at
the swap meet in the fall and has info on this family. The phone number he gave me isn't working.
Thanks to everyone for helping with this.

EDWARDS, WILLIAMS -
Looking for information on James W. Edwards (b. ~1923), sister, Leila M. Edwards
(b. ~1925), brother, Herbert H. Edwards (b. ~1929). All probably born in Pipers Gap. Their
parents were Houston and Maude Williams Edwards. I would like to know if any are
still living and are possibly living in Carroll County or if any of their descendants are living.
Also, Does anyone have info on Harry H. (Houston) Edwards (b. ~1917). He is probably a
child of Houston's in a previous marriage. Houston's mother was Millie Edwards.

BAKER, HURT -
I'm working on my Baker line and have noticed that not many Bakers were in Carroll
County before 1860 but after that time period quite a few are listed on the Carroll census. My
ggg-grandparents were Joseph S. Baker and Elizabeth Hurt. They are listed on the
1840 and 1850 Wythe County Census but must have moved to Carroll County because they are listed
on the 1860-1880 censuses. I would like to find who Joseph's parents were. I believe Elizabeth
Hurt's parents were Berry Hurt and Margaret Baker and they were most likely
from the Wythe County area. I believe my Baker family may have lived close to the
Wythe/Carroll line or they may have moved back and forth. I would appreciate any information on
any Baker family listed on the 1850-1880 censuses.
