Gill from Walton

This Indenture made the fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy; between George Walton of the County of Prince Edward of the one part and Michael Gill of the County of Charlotte of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George Walton for and in consideration of the just and full sum of Twenty nine pounds and ten pence current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Michael Gill the receipt, whoseof he the said George Walton doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell deliver and confirm...to him the said Michal Gill his heirs forever one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Charlotte on the branches of Horspen Creek containing two hundred acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows Viz... Begining at Daniel Mays corner pine thence along his line north eighty five degrees East twenty poles to a red oak off South ten degrees East one hundred and twenty six poles to Pointers South seventy four degrees West two hundred and eight poles to a pine North two degrees East two hundred and thirty four poles to pointers in Thomas Jone's old line thence along his line South seventy degrees East one hundred and sixty poles to the beginning. Together with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any war appertaining To have and to hold the above sold land and premises with all the appurtenances unto him the said Michal Gill his heirs and assignees forever. To have, hold and occupy possess and enjoy the same with every part and parcel thereof to him the said Michal Gill his heirs and assignees forever. To the only proper use and behalf of him the said Michal Gill his heirs and assignees forever, against him the said George Walton his heirs and assignees and against the claim and demand of all persons whatsoever shall and will by these presents warrant and forever will defend. In Witness whereof the said George Walton hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.

Blanton from Walton

This Indenture made the Second day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy one between George Walton of the County of Prince Edward of the one part and Richard Blanton of the County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George Walton for and in consideration of the just and full sum of Fifty seven pounds ten shillings current money of Virginia to him in hand by the said Ricahrd Blanton, the receipt whereof he the said George Walton doth hereby acknowledge hath given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth give, bargain, sell, deliver and confirm to him the said Richard Blanton his heirs and assignes forever one tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Charlotte, on the branches of Sandy Creek and Stauntin River on both sides of Cock's Road and May's Road, bounded as follows Viz. beginning at Worshams Corner Hickory in Hights Line thence along Worshams and Gills line North two Degrees East three hundred and forty nine poles to Jone's Line, thence along his line North Seventy Degrees West two hundred and six poles to a white oak, thence along Marable line South Forty Degrees West, one hundred and sixty six poles to Moor's Corner Pointers in the same thence along his line South Twenty six Degrees East two hundred and seventy poles to a red oak in Hights Line and thence along Hights Line North Forty Degrees East Eighty four poles to a white oak, South forty five Degrees East one hundred and fifty poles to the first Station. Together with all and singular the priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining To have and to hold the above sold Land and premise with all the appurtenances unto the said Richard Blanton his heirs and asssignes forever To have hold use occupy, possess and enjoy the same with every part and parcel thereof to him the said Richard Blanton his heirs and assignes forever against him the said George Walton his heirs or assignes and against the claim and demand of all other persons whatsoever shall and will by these presents warrant and forever will devend in Witness whereof he the said George Walton doth hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.

Memorandum that on the day and year first within mentioned Quiet and Peaceable possession and seizure of the within mentioned Land and Premises with all the appurtenances was given and made by George Walton to Richard Blanton in presence of the subscribing Witnessess
