This Indenture made this 16th day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred & Ninety Six Between David Tucker Senr. and his wife of the County of Brunswick of the one part and Wright Tucker son of the said and his said wife of the other part Witnesseth that we the said David Tucker and Athaliah K his wife as well for the natural affection Love & good will which we bear to our said Son as also for and in consideration of the sum of Six Shillings Current Money by the said Wright Tucker in hand paid unto the said David Tucker & Athaliah his wife . . . do give grant bargain sell Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Wright Tucker one certain Tract or parcel of Land situate & lying in the County of Brunswick Containing One hundred & forty acres of Land be the same more or less and bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning at the Ready Branch thence along Mathew Evan's decd. line to James Feild's decd. line thence down the said Field's line to John Abernathys line at the Ready Branch thence up the said Branch to the beginning . . .
