This Indenture made this twenty eighth Day of November in the Year one thousand seven hundred and sixty three Between Henry Stratton of the County of Cumberland and Parish of Southam of the one part and Thomas Tucker of the aforesaid County & Parish of the other part Witnesseth That the said Henry Stratton for and in consideration of the Sum of sixty Pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Tucker the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold released enfeoffed and confirmed unto the said Thomas Tucker one certain tract or Parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County of Cumberland and Parish of Southam containing by Estimation one hundred acre be the same more or less bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at a beach on Bowlings [Quarter] Branch running thence up the said Branch to a Spanish Oak in Abraham [Wom]macks line thence ___ ______back line Edward Morgans line thence _____ Morgans line _____ ____ to Poindexters line thence along Poindex[ters] to the first station ____ Houses Orchards Woods ______ Waters or _____________________ Administrators or Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Thomas Tucker his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns and the said Henry Stratton his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns do hereby quit all Claim Right Property or Demand to the said Sand and Premises herein metioned (sic) and do hereby warrant the said Land and Premises from all Manner of Person or Persons whatsoever having any Right Claim Property or Demand to the said Land and Premises aforementioned. Received of Thomas Tucker this twenty eight Day of November one thousand seven hundred & sixty three the within mentioned consideration Money, Recd. Pr. me, Henry Stratton.

At a Court held for Cumberland County 28 November 1763 This Indenture & the Receipt endorsed were acknowledged by Henry Stratton a Party thereto and by the Court ordered to be recorded and Sarah Wife of the said Henry being first privily examined Relinquished her Right of Dower in and to the Land and Premises conveyed by the said Indenture.
