This Indenture made this fourth day of December One thousand seven hundred and seventy Seven Between John Tucker of the County of Amherst of the one part, and Marbel Stone of the County of Fluvanna of the other part Witnesseth the said John Tucker for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds to him in hand paid Hath bargained, Sold and Confirm'd and by these presents doth bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Marbel Stone his heirs and Assigns forever one certain Tract or parcel of Land containing four hundred Acres lying and being in the County of Fluvanna on the Branches of Hardware and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a Small white oak running thence South Sixty four Degrees East three hundred and forty Poles to pointers, South sixteen degrees West one hundred and forty eight poles to Pointers, North Sixty five degrees West one hundred and ninety two poles to Pine North twenty five degrees East, fifty two poles to a pine, North seventy Degrees West, one hundred and sixty six poles to a Chesnut oak North twenty Degrees East, one hundred and Sixty one poles to a Spanish oak, North forty degrees East fifty Six poles to the first Station To have and to hold the said Tract of Land with their and every of their Appurtenances to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Marbel Stone his Heirs and Assigns forever and the said John Tucker for himself his heirs and Assigns the said Tract of Land and premises to the said Marbel Stone his Heirs and Assigns will warrant and forever defend against the Claim and demands of all and every person whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said John Tucker hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and Year abovementioned. At a Court held for Fluvanna County December the fourth 1777. This Deed was this day presented in Court & proved to be the act and Deed of John Tucker by the oath of William Angus, William Oglesby and George Duncan Witnesses thereto and by the Court ordered to be recorded.
