In the name of God Amen I David Tucker, Senr. of Brunswick County do hereby make my last Will and Testament in manner & form following that is to say, 1st I give to my son Wright Tucker two Negroes namely Polley & Esther and their future increase to him and his heirs forever. 2ndly I give to my son Hartwell Tucker three Negroes namely Randol, Cesar and Judah to him and his heirs forever. 3rdly I give to my daughter Patsey C. Goodwyn one feather bed and furniture to her and her her (sic) heirs forever. 4thly I give to my grand daughter Kezziah Tucker daughter of Wright Tucker one negro namely Susan and her future increase to her and her heirs for ever. 5thly I give to my grand daughter Peggy Tucker daughter of David Tucker, one Negro namely Jesse to her and her heirs for ever. 6thly I give to my grandsons George Tucker, Joseph Tucker & Thomas Tucker sons of David Tucker two Negroes namely Jenny and her child York and the future increase of the said Jenny to them and their heirs forever, my will is that my son Hartwell Tucker hire out the said negro Jenny and her child York and the future increase of the said Jenny should she have any either privately or publicly at the discretion of my said son Hartwell Tucker untill my said Grandson Thomas Tucker attains to the age of twenty one years, or either of them my said grandsons may marry, and when either of the said Events take place my will is that the said Jenny & York & the future increase of the said Jenny should she have any and the profits arising from the hire of them be equally divided amongst my said grand sons George Tucker, Joseph Tucker and Thomas Tucker. 7thly I give to my grandsons George Tucker, Joseph Tucker and Thomas Tucker sons of David Tucker Thirty pounds to be paid out of the money which may arise from the sale of my personal property to them and their heirs 9thly (sic) All the residue of my Estate of every kind Whatsoever I leave to be sold by my Executors hereafter named, and the money arising from such sale, (after paying my just debts and deducting therefrom the Thirty pounds above given to my grandsons George Tucker, Joseph Tucker and Thomas Tucker sons of David Tucker) I give one moiety of to my son Wright Tucker, the other Moiety I give to my grandsons George Tucker, Joseph Tucker & Thomas Tucker sons of David Tucker to be equally divided amongst them share and Share alike. 9thly And Lastly I do appoint my two sons Wright Tucker and Hartwell Tucker Executors to this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other or former Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made my desire is that my estate shall not be appraised nor my Executors bound to give Security for their Executorship. Brunswick County Court October 24th 1814. This last will and Testament of David Tucker Senr. decd. was proved by the Oaths of John King and Ishmael Harwell Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. and on the motion of Wright and Hartwell Tucker the executors therein named who made Oath thereto according to law Certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
