|Virginia – Bacon Bibles
Below are bible records that I’ve
gathered from a number of different sources. There are a group of us

Cannon, Susannah Hart Shelby Chapter, Frankfort, KY, March 9, 1927.
– As a direct descendant of John Bacon and his 2nd wife, Elizabeth,
through their daughter Anne Apperson Bacon and her husband Philip S.
Fall, and their daughter Elizabeth Fall and her husband Edmund H. Taylor,
Sr., I will add to the above Bible record the following data from statements
made to me by my mother and her parents who could remember most of the
persons whose names are recorded in the Bible, or had received the data
from those who knew them:
"John Bacon and his brothers
Lyddall, Langston and Edmund were sons of Capt Lyddall Bacon, of New
Kent County, Virginia, and his first wife, Anne Apperson, sister to
Captain Richard Apperson, of the Revolutionary Army; the name of her
father is not definitely known.
Benedict Bacon, the death of whose wife Susan and daughter Amanda, is
recorded, was the son of Capt. Lyddall Bacon by his 2nd marriage to
Mrs. Cump of Virginia, nee _____. John Bacon moved from Virginia to
Kentucky prior to 1794, and married Anna Patterson, niece of Col. Robert
Paterson, and daughter of Charles Patterson. She died in 1797, and John
Bacon married Elizabeth Ware, daughter of William Ware and his wife
Sarah Samuel, both of Woodford Cty, Kentucky.”
