John Bugg born 1733 married in 1758 Lucy Pennington born 1742 to William and Mary Pennington. John and Lucy had twelve known children. His will of 31 January 1801 can be found in Mecklenburg, Virginia Book #4 pgs 262-264. He leaves to son Benjamin 200 acres on Mitchell's Branch in Mecklenburg; to son Zachariah 200 acres bought from Ingram on east side of creek; son John 170 acres on Taylor's Creek; son William 150 acres south of Taylor's Creek;
son Jessie 387 acre home plantation; son - in - law John Nance 12 acres; land in Brunswick County to be sold and proceeds divided between daughters. Daughters as I have them were Elizabeth -Daly; Mary -Walker; Frances - Nance; Sarah - Lanier; Lucy - Gee; Martha and Marris..Martha's part of estate was to be held until the death of her husband. Wife Lucy, sons Zachariah and John and son - in - law Daniel Daly as executors.

I have Daniel Daly as the son of John( died 1806) and Mary(died 1805) his siblings as I have them were Josiah ( married Jinney Mc Kinney); Ann (married John Singleton); Ambrose ( married Sarah Taylor and Betsy Tanner) and Sarah. I haven't been able to locate the will of John or Mary, so like other families this is a work in progress. I have Daniel Daly's will dated 20 February 1807 Mecklenburg where the three children of wife Lucy Bugg are named Elizabeth, John, Jones. I have found that Jones was executor of Ambrose Daly's will in 1823 that he is in Maury County Tennessee newspaper of 1842 as Justice of Peace. He is there in 1850 census record
pg 108 ,971- 439 listed as Jones 54 and Elizabeth 86; by 1860 Elizabeth has died.

I have not followed the Bugg family beyond Virginia. Although I have some research on Lucy Pennington's line.
