| Hudgins-Smith house [demolished], northeast corner
of intersection routes #1/138 (Union Mills Road), Mecklenburg County,
built 1856 by William Sandefur Bugg, Robert Bugg, and William Bugg
for John Harper Hudgins and his wife, the former Mary James Walker.
The house passed to Hudgins’s nephew Benjamin Blackwell Smith,
and was later razed for development of an industrial park on the
site.
