Know all men by these presents that we Starling Waller and William Drumright are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency Robert Brooke Esq. Governor or Chief Magistrate of the Commonwealth of Virginia the just sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to which payment will and truly be made to the said Governor and his successors for the use of the Commonwealth. We bind our and each of our heirs (3 words indistinct) jointly and severally firmly by the presents sealed with our seals and dated this 1st day of Sept, 1796. The condition of the above obligation is such that if there be no lawful cause to obstruct a marriage intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Starling Waller and Rebecca Drumright, then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
