Boehm Cemetery as it appeared in October of 2003

Distant view of Boehm Cemetery, October, 2003.

This cemetery is located on the former Tilmer Stickley farm 4 miles west of Strasburg on the north side of Rt. 55 in a field beyond the residence. Boehm Cemetery is an excellent example of the cemeteries of the 18th century. Burials were made in the German tradition with the foot of the graves facing true east. There are approximately 350 burials in this cemetery, most of them marked by uninscribed fieldstones.

In 1994, from Boehm Cemetery there was another family cemetery visible to the northwest, as well as a very nice view of Little North Mountain.
