Ancestry.com has taken control of all GenConnect boards. Once a query is placed, it becomes the property of Ancestry.com. While the poster owns the copyright to the deed, will, biography, query, etc., Ancestry.com has the right, at will, to distribute those postings in any manner it so chooses.

All seven former GenConnect boards for Shenandoah County, VAGenWeb have been consolidated as one board. I will no longer be an adminstrator of the board because Ancestry.com is a profit making corporation and I did not intentionally maintain those boards for Ancestry.com profit making.

USGenWeb is now discussing whether to begin new query boards or eliminate their rule of having query boards.
