GALLOWAY -
Searching for information on a John GALLOWAY who was born about 1786, county unknown, VA. He married a Sarah ???? who was born about 1791 in North Carolina. They are found living in Dickson County, Tennessee, from the mid 1820's thru the 1850 census. Presumably they both died before the 1860 census. Children would include Jackson, Paralee, Indiana, and John. There were more children, I just have not figured out who they all are. I suspect that his father may have been named Robert GALLOWAY, and John may have been a brother to William Martin GALLOWAY. This speculation is based only on the name of "Indiana", a name they both named a daughter.

BELL, PARROT, SMITHSON, TERRELL, WILSON -
Help, I have reached a dead end with my research of my gggg-great grandfather, William Bell. I do know he was born in VA about 1777. Do not know anything about his parents or siblings. He married Synah or Sinah P. Wilson in Campbell Co., VA in 1801. We have a copy of the marriage bond, so we know Synah's father was James Wilson, but we don't know anything about her mother or siblings. Three children were born of the Bell-Wilson union that we know of. James D, born near Richmond on 10/06/1802. George W. born around 1802, and Benjamin born in 1815. We do know that both George and James were born in VA. Benjamin, we aren't sure where he was born. We do know that something happened to Synah P. Wilson Bell, before September 1825, because William Bell married again on 9-15-1825 to the widow Jemima Terrell, who was born Jemima Smithson. Jemima parents were Drummond Smithson and Mary Parrot. Both of these parents were born in Fluvanna Va. Help, I really need to find out more info about William Bell, his parents & siblings. Anything you can provide to get me over this hill would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much,

HAYES, STONE -
I am seeking any information on my gg Grandfather, Richard Mathias STONE, born in VA, Dec 22, 1828. He came from a large family and had a sister whose name was Sally. I have a letter written my an Aunt or great Aunt who only knew that Richard left home at age 21 because he "differed with the family views on the slave issues." He then went to Indiana where he met and married Bessie Elender HAYES in 1849. She was from Shelby County, Hanover Twp. I am guessing that they were married there but thus far have no proof. I have found Richard's name at the FamilySearch.org. He was referred on one file as "Matt," but no other dates but this birthdate and state of VA. If anyone can help me find Richard Mathias Stone's parents or any other of his family, I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you for your time.

I am looking for a Joseph RHEA or RAY (middle name may have been Elliot) who married an Almeda "Allie" HAWKINS. Almeda's parents were Abram (or Abraham) HAWKINS and Lydia ISAAC or ISAACS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RILEY, ROWE -
I am seeking information on Squire Peter Rowe (I understand 'Squire' was a given name, not a title) b. 1822 in Virginia. Peter Rowe married Jane Riley (?). Their children were Elizabeth, Tabitha, Riley, George (poss. George Paris), Henry Clay, Yancy Richardson, Alphonza K. and Almira. It appears that Elizabeth was born in Va, Tabitha in Ill., Riley and George (my great-grandfather) in MO, Yancy, Alphonza and Almira in AR. The family farmed in Garland Co. Arkansas (tho' some changing of Co. boundries since so farm may have been Hot Springs Co. originally). Family history has it that Peter was killed, probably as a noncombatant, in a crossfire between Union and CSA forces, on a mount on his farm. Jane remarried several times, said to have live to age 96. I would like to identify Squire Peter Rowe's parents, his siblings, and his place of birth.
