COLLINS -
I am doing ancestrial work about my family. I am searching for information regarding Jeremiah
Collins. I believe he was born in Albemarle County around 1760. Family stories say he was
a soldier in the Revolutionary War. Information I have found on a Jeremiah Collins' war
record indicated he was a corporal for the Continental Line. He was a member of a group of
soldiers from Halifax County. He moved to Patrick County, Va./Stokes County, NC area in the late
1700's. I was reared in Stokes Couny, NC, and many Collins family members reside in that
area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, any help regarding the Collins family
of Va. would be greatly appreciated.
