WALKER -
I am researching my great grandfather, Henry S, Walker who was born in Winchester,
Virginia in 1861-62. On the only paper I found on him that was his marriage record to my g
grandmother here in Pa, he only lists his parents as a John and Caroline Walker, also
from Virginia. I don't know the county and I am a little stumped when putting in his name
as to what part to be able to trace him back to his parents (county wise).
Can you give me any ideas on how to do this so I may find out some records on him that may still
be in Virginia. I am new to this and I am hitting walls left and right when I can't find dates
of birth or deaths on many of my ancestors.
Thank you for any help or guidance you can give me. No., he does not list his parents dates of
birth or death either and I can't find him in Pa where I found him in the 1920 census married to
my g grandmother at that time.

LANGFORD -
Eli LANGFORD first appears 1765 in a land deed issued in Halifax County VA. The land was
located in what now appears to be Henry County VA. He married Sarah unknown, assumed in Virginia
pre 1774. We have no DNA matches except known sons descendants. Their first son Matthew was born
Sept 1779 in Virginia, by 1779 the family was living in Lincoln Co NC
