CRUM, HORN, JARRELL,
STAFFORD -
I am trying to find the parents of William Crum Sr born 16 Oct 1804, died 4 Nov 1886. He
married three times (1) Mary Marta 'Polly' HORN 28 Jun 1812 married 4 Mar 1826. (2) Mary
or Sally JARRELL married 16 Sep 1857 (3) Ella STAFFORD, no dates, but after 1857.
There was a total of 14 children. This includes my great-greatgrandfather, Jesse CRUM born
3 Feb 1832. I don't believe he is the child of Henry CRUM or Adam CRUM, but the
CRUM ancestors are totally intertwined and are without documentation. I would like to know
who his real parents are. He was born in VA and died in KY or WV. I am unable to locate a birth,
death or marriage certificate. Can anyone help me locate the documentation of his parents? Wanda

BUTLER -
I would like to list this in unknown county simply because , there isn't a listing on the
VAGenWeb for Fincastle Co. VA. which was an area from which Kentucky was created in 1776,
then part of the area was given to Tennessee in 1779, which is now Sullivan Co. Tenn. My query
is, where do I look for information on the Fincastle Co. area? Part of the area was also included
in the Tellico Treaty with the Cherokee. My GGG Grandfather was Indian , so stated in the census,
born in Indian Territory which may have included part of the above area, he was born ca 1775 or
76, name Simon Butler. Any help or advice out there? Thanks,
