HAGHILL, LAWTON, SINCLAIR -
My 3 greats grandfather, George Latham Lawton, got married in Norfolk, Va to Anna Maria Haghill on June 5, 1823. An affidavit of the marriage was recorded in his home town of Newport, RI. She is buried in Baltimore, Md.
I have searched everywhere and cannot find any family named Haghill. The only Haghill I have found is a town in Scotland.
George L. Lawton was a professional clerk and served during the War of 1812 as Captain's Clerk to Commander Arthur Sinclair who was from Virginia. After to war he served as secretary to Sinclair for 5 years. I am sure he knew how to spell his wife's name.
Is it possible that there is a family in Virginia with a similar name? Is it possible she was a connection of Sinclair's? I live in New Jersey and can't get down to Norfolk. Do you have any suggestions on where to look?
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I am having trouble finding information on Meredith Wilkerson b.1783 Prince Edward Co. D.1851 Wilson Co TN (married to Anne Lawrence). My ggg grandfather
I also can't not find anything on his father Lovell Wilkerson abt. b 1750 d. abt 1818 (married a Sally or Sarah) Can you help me with this.I have been working on this for almost 3 years now and live in the state of Tennessee. I would be so thankful for any help you can give me.

BAILEY, HARPER -
I am looking for information on my grandfather Boston Harper. He lived in Norfolk County VA (now Chesapeake) or Princess Anne County (now Virginia Beach) VA. Had four sons, married three times, last wife was Annie Bailey.
