Looking for information on Anna (nee NORRIS) and John NORRIS. Anna was born in VA
in 1792, county unknown. Her family and John's came from England abt 1775. They show up in TN
in 1819 when their first son was born. They eventually settled in MO. They had 7
children:George, Talbert, John, Gilbert and twin daughters Sussanh (Sarah?), Roseanna, and
Leanna. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially a lookup on a census for 1800. Thank

I am researching the HOUNDSHELL or HOUNSHEL family. There is some indication that
they may be related to the HOUNDSHELLs in Wythe or Smythe Counties . His name is S.
Franklin HOUNSHELL. Franklin was listed in the Estill County, Ky. census in 1870 and the
Lee County, Ky. census in 1880. He had two children, Henry listed as 3 years old and Simeon or
Samuel age 1. His wife was listed as Juda. Franklin says he was born in VA. His wife's maiden
name was SLOAN. She was born in KY. Any info on this family would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on Charles STEWART b. 1760 Franklin Co, Va who married
Charity RICHARDS in 1781 Franklin Co, Va. I think Charles father was James STEWART
but don't know who his mother was. Charity's parents were Edward RICHARDS and Elizabeth
STEWART who both died in Franklin Co, Va. I believe that Charles sister Elizabeth married
Edward Richards, so he married his first cousin, his sister's daughter. Any info on these

Looking for information on the family of Abraham STAPP, married in 1685 in Essex Co., VA.
He died in Essex Co. in 1714. Abraham was born in England and married Dorothy MOSS,
daughter of Robert Moss and Rebecca Wales. Dorothy died in 1718 in Essex Co. Cannot

I am seeking information on Pleasant BUTRUM (possibly BUTTRAM, BUTRAM, or
BERTRAM) said to have been from Lee Co.,VA. He was born September, 1812 according to
information in a family Bible and I know he died Feb .18, 1885. He is buried in the Underwood
Cemetary in LaFayette, TN in Macon Co. According to the local historical society, he was the one
to donate the land for the cemetary and was also the first one to be buried there. I am also
searching for info on Richard Bandy, born 1720 in Liverpool,England and fought in the
Revolutionary War for Virginia. I once viewed some info on him a LDS Research room but have since
lost it. I remember that some Bandy relative had published a book on the family which
included him.
