HEWITT, SHEPHERD, SHEPPARD -
Seeking any information on Shepherd/ Sheppard family that migrated to PA and WV
areas. Joseph and Sarah (unknown) Sheppard/Shepherd were likely born about 1770-1795 and
were in Washington Co, PA in 1813 as a son Ezekiel was born there (but no records exist to
substantiate this). The family disappeared again until 1840 when Ezekiel married Delilah
Hewitt. Desire any VA information on Joseph, Sarah, Joseph, Samuel (possible brother),
and Delilah Hewitt and her parents Charles and Elizabeth. In 1840 they were in a part of
the WV/VA area that changed the name of the counties and states several times. Please help with
locating these individuals.

HANKS, WALKER -
Greetings, The Hanks boys were born in Virginia (county not known). Zadock Hanks
was born in 1797; James Hanks was born in 1800; Thomas Hanks was born about 1812
(think there were other children). Their father died and their mother, Elizabeth married
William Walker who was born in Virginia in 1772 (county not known). William and
Elizabeth were in Blount County, Alabama Territory in time for William Walker to be
appointed Justice of Peace in May 1818. All the Hanks boys kept and used Hanks as
their middle name; however, each added and went by Walker. Hanks boys might have been
adopted by William Walker. Would greatly appreciate any information about the parents of
the Hanks boys and/or their step-father William Walker. Will exchange information.

Johnson (about 1850) married to Katie Johnson, daughter Bessie Johnson
married Levi Hargrow (Hargrove), eventually moved to Ohio late 1800s. Lenora Mae
Wilson, born approx. 1885, married Charles E. Stewart, grandson of Richard
Stewart, about 1905. Lenora's mother's name was Fannie and father was known as Reverend
Wilson (first name unknown).

I am looking for info on Paul Roger Wright born March 17, 1889 and died April 14, 1961.
He was in the Army as a Pvt. 3rd Calvary in WWI. What I have says he was the son of Columbus
Wright and Josephine Sanders. He married Virginia Dalton daughter of Guy
Dalton and Elisa Catherine Sayers. He is buried in the Odd Fellows
Cemetery in Wythe Co., Ivanhoe, Va. Any information would be appreciated.

Co. Angus' wife was the dau of Samuel and sister of Robert Haws. Angus appeared on the

One of his children was Bailey who was married to Jemima. Bailey was born in Kentucky in 1779.
He had to go back to Virginia for his son Joseph was born in Virginia in 1810. He moved to
Grayson Co, Kentucky around 1820 and died there in 1852. I believe John Allen was killed
by Indians around 1783. John is my great,great,great, great grandfather.

Sarah Anne TAYLOR b 8/13/1836 somewhere in Virginia to unknown parents, married Henry
Alberti Tarrall 12/11/1860 in Norfolk (city). She had three children, Sarah Anne (Birdie)
who married Jordan (my line), Marshall (who had three sons in VaBch) and Mahone (whose
children also were in VaBch). Her brother was James Mitchell Taylor, alledgedly the mad
oysterman in James Mitchener's book, "Chesapeake". Does anyone see a connection? I
have nothing further on her. She died a widow in the Tanner's Creek District of then Norfolk
Co. in an Ocean View sanitorium from nephritis 2/11/1920.

I am a g+granddaughter of Magdalaine Verrueil who married Antoine Trabue and came
to Manakintown, Henrico Co., VA-lived in BUckingham Co., Goochland, Chesterfield, Pocahontas and
their descendants lived all over VA. Magdalaine Trabue married Rev. Rene Chastain
(but no children from this marriage that I know of). The Trabue family descendants
married into the Watkins family, Walker. Eastin. Pullins
Carter, Johnson families. Many of them moving to KY after serving in the Rev War.
Can you help with any information? My husband is also a descendant of the Trabue family,
Minter family, Bailey,

I have been working on my wife's family geneology and have established links back to Joseph
Goodman Younger, born 4/21/1837, who lived in Halifax County, VA, seved in the Civil War,
then moved to West Tennessee where he married Francis Virginia Hart, born 5/13/1850,
daughter of Lorenzo Thornton Hart who had also moved to West Tennessee from Halifax
County, VA. I would be interested in getting the Younger name added to the surnames list
and will provide additional information about Joseph Goodman and his decendants upon request.
Although I'm just geeting started using this e-mail and am limited in what I can do with it (my
kids gave me a WebTv for Christmas) I would also be very interested in sharing information with
other researchers on the Younger/Hart lines, even if it is by old fashioned US Mail. I'll
