THOMAS, WAITE -
Have been searching (for years) for the parentage of a William S. Thomas (my great x3 grandfather) who was born in Virginia in 1812 (+ or -), was possibly 1 of 10 children. He married Elizabeth Lithgo Waite in IL in 1840. They had 7 children (Charles, Edward, Lucinda, Henry, George, William Jr., and Richard). William S. was an attorney and a farmer and lived in IL from approx. 1840 until his death in Belleville, IL in 1879. Any info on William's exact birth and/or his PARENTS would be greatly appreciated.

MACFERREN -
My uncle, George MacFerren, was possibly married in Virginia, in the late 1930's. Wife may have been "Pat". Is there any way to find this information? I believe he may have been in the Navy. He was born in Philadelphia. Thank you for any information you may be able to find! Paula

LINGAR, SHOEMAKE, SHOEMAKER, SHUMAKE, SHUMATE -
Looking for Hessie Shoemaker of Virginia. Born 08 May 1861. Parents unknown. References to her name have also been Jessie Shoemake/ Shumake/ Shumate; however, an Social Security request form show's Hessie Shoemaker/Shoemake --I believe Shoemaker to be correct. Hessie married Frazier M. (Monroe) Lingar in 1896, possibly in Virginia. They had at least six children: Tillman, Charley, China Lee (my great grandmother), William, Alvis, and John Lingar. Any parental information would be great and wonderful; however, any information will be equally great. Thanks, Renee Madron (Richmond, IN)
