CAMPBELL, GREEN,
PARR, SMITH -
I am searching for the first wife of Thomas Parr, thought to be Sarah Smith of
Culpeper CO., VA. Thomas Parr and wife came to Amherst about the time of the outbreak of
the War between the States. It is possible that Sarah died during childbirth before 1870. Thomas
and Sarah are believed to have had a son named Delwyn Smith Parr and a daughter named
Sarah Furman Parr who married Clarence (?) Campbell. Thomas later married Rebecca
Green and moved to Texas. I am seeking descendants and the burial place of Sarah Smith
Parr. Results of any search would be most appreciated.

BURNS, RUBI, RUBIE, RUBY -
I am trying to trace the ancestors of my gggg-grandfather Charles Ruby Jr (b: 1785 in Ky;
d: Bef 1850 in North Carolina). He married Susanna Burns on April 7, 1809 in Washington
Co., KY. Susanna was born 1789 in NC and died September 9, 1854 in KY. There is some scant
evidence that some of the Ruby (Rubie, Rubi) families may have migrated to
NC/KY from VA or MD. All may have originated from either England, Ireland, or
Bavaria/Switzerland. Since Charles was titled as "Jr.", I assume that his father was Charles
also. However, Charles' fathers' name may have been William I know nothing more than this
regarding the parents of Charles Ruby Jr. Any information on the ancestors of Charles
Ruby Jr. would be greatly appreciated!! Would be willing to share my Ruby line.
Thanks! Kevin.
