CRUSON, McCONNELL, STEELE -
Searching for the Thomas STEELE and Racheal CRUSON family of WV/VA. I only have the information for John Steele, his son. He was born 12-1-1825 and married Mary McConnell in the 1840's. I believe that Thomas may have been born in Ireland, all the census records for his son John states this is the case. Does anyone know anything?

WEST, WOMBLE -
I am looking for information on George W. West and family. George married Louisiana/Louisana/Louisanna (maiden name?) and they had a child around 1878 nicknamed Mollie. According to the 1880 census, Mollie was 2, George was 25 and his wife 22 in Southampton county, VA. Both George and his wife are from VA and have parents from VA. In the 1870 census there is a George West, 16 years old, who works as a laborer. Is this the same person? Any ideas or thoughts woudl be helpful.
Additonal info:
Mollie married James Malachi Womble and had a few daughters (Doris, Mildred, Womble) and then they left the area and Mollie died before the 1920's of something like the flu (or so I have been told).

HARPER, HUFFINES, LAMBATH, LAMBETH, LAMBIRTH -
According to an 1830 census, my William Lambeth/ Lambath/ Lambirth was born between 1760 & 1770. According to a biographical sketch of a grandson, he was "of Virginia". I know of two sons: (1) David Lambeth b ca 1793 in VA, m April 1818 in Logan Co KY to Sally Huffines, d ca 1838 in Posey Co IN. (2) William Lambeth, Jr., ca 1798 in VA, m ca 1840 to Nancy ___, d after March 1876 in Clark Co MO; this data is only from Clark Co MO censuses. William and his two sons are in the 1830 Posey Co IN census. According to the referenced biographical sketch, William "moved to Missouri".
To further identify, David's children were (1) John A., (my ancestor) 1819-1896; (2) James; (3) Henry Harrison (b 1826 m Martha Harper); (4) Jane; (5) David (6) Daniel (7) Andrew J. b ca 1831. In more modern-times (at least 1889)the spelling was Lambirth. My mother told me that she had "heard" that the spelling had been changed, but she didn't know from what.

COOPER, MORRIS -
Elizabeth Cooper, my grgrgrandmother, is listed on the 1850 census of Lee County, VA as head of household with son, George 20. Martha is 17. Catherine who was my great grandmother is 15. Mary is age 12.
Elizabeth was born as Elizabeth Morris, oldest daughter of Elias Morris, Sr. in 1808. Montgomery County, NC.
I have not been able to trace the family"s route or other information as they traveled on to Lee County, VA. Most of the Elias Morris, Sr. family is found in Lee County census of 1860. However, Elizabeth apparently died. Her children were scattered, living with Morris relatives or benevolent neighbors.
We can not find the marriage of Elizabeth Morris to a Cooper. In subsequent records, all children list Elizabeth as mother, list VA as state of birth and leave name for father vacant. While we have a great recollection of our Morris heritage and a good perspective of our Coopers after 1850, these important gaps leave our Cooper family unknown before 1850.
We will be grateful for your help.

BARTLEY, LODEN -
I am looking for a Susan Esten Bartley. And she was supposed to be born in VA., in about 1856, per her own listing in Census of 1870's in Parke County Indiana. She was already married by then, and raising her family. And I am sure it had to be in the inner part of VA., as she married a William W. Loden from Tenn., in Blount County. So, if you can help me, I would appreciate anything you can find on her and her parents, and where they immagrated from. And even maybe the state where her parents family was born also....
