GRANT, HACKNEY -
I am hoping someone can help me out in my research. My family is from Halifax Co. Va. My
Grandmother Ruth Dorcus Grant was born to James Grant and Elizabeth Grant in
Halifax Co. Va (1873) . At 7 years old, Ruth is living in the household of John Hackney
and Bettie E. Hackney. I am trying to find James Grant and his whereabouts(his
movements). And who was his parents. Any help would be appreciated.

COLLINS, DAVISSON -
My Distant Grandfather was born in Virginia in 1799. His name is James Collins. He married
Henrietta Davisson, died in Haverville/Lawrence, Ohio, on Sep 27,1879. His son, my next in
line Grandfather was named Nathaniel Collins who died in Greenup Ky.

DIETZ, JONES -
Seeking info on following persons:
Iva Claire Jones at 1620 Parkland Dr. Lynchburg,
VA. in 1950 per return address on back of envelope. Letter sent likely to Juanita Elizabeth
Jones Dietz and Iva possibly related thru Juanita's father, Albert Ross
Jones born 1885-8 and died 1976. No further correspondence during time Juanita known to me
so Iva may have died between 1983-1998 when Juanita died.
Also, seek info on persons in
photos we have: Wayne Jones family in 1950s maybe early '60s. Wayne is likely Robert Wayne
Jones as one of sons is called B.J. for Bob, Jr.. other son is Burk. Iva could possibly be
Wayne's wife?
Believe they are descendants of one of Albert's brothers -Henry Matson
Jones or an older bother. Albert had 3 older brothers, only one of which survived by 1907.
These brothers are: John W. Jones born about 1876, Maynard Jones born about 1878,
and Marion Jones born 1880 in March. Does anyone know these people? Thanks for any
assistance.

WILLS, WILSON, YOUNG -
My great grandmother (Annie Marie Wills) came from Virginia to Haywood County, Tenn in
1851 with her father (Austin L) and two other sisters (Sara and Bette)... Mother may have been
Eilizabeth Wilson. Sister Helen stayed in Virginia and in a letter from her in 1873 (post
marked Wilson Depot), she stated that she was going to marry a Dr. H B Young at White Oak
Methodist Church.. His wife had died... 3 years later a letter came to my gr. grandmother saying
that Helen had died and the second child was 3 weeks old....they were in Petersburg living with
Dr. Young's sister-in-law.. There was an older son.. He named baby Helen ... I am trying
to find out what happened to Austin's wife, who his ancestors are, and what happened to him.... I
hoped by having this information someone might help me find out more about this Wills
family... I am also looking in Haywood County, Tenn... Thank you... Emily

was William Henry GOWENS and his mother was Martha Jane GOWEN. Charles Coleman
("Colman") married Nancy Ellen CALVERT (or CALBERT) b. Jan 1826 on 10 Oct 1867.
Charles Coleman ("Colman") and Nancy Gowens were my g grandparents.
