BOYD, MITCHELL, ROBERTS, RUSSELL,
TRIGG, WILEY -
Russell fam are from my mother,'s maternal side I know that Ruell Russell and
Priscilla Boyd, Russell are my gggrt. And that their son, my ggrt. Andrew Wilson
Russell, moved to Clay co. Mo Liberty With his family and married widow Anna Wiley,
Trigg. and had their children there. I have all that. But I am looking for their dau.
Josephine,'s mother-in-law's fam. Mother-in-law is Mazilla Russell b. Oct. 1824 in Va(?WVa)
The last thing I have of her is the head count done here in IL Crawford Co. in the twp of Oblong.
And I also know she died before the 1900 census for that county. and that her husb. Cyrus
Mitchell wasn't there he was living with thier youngest son (my ggrt) Geo. Washington
Mitchell and wife (Josephine Mildred Russell) in Richland co. in the twp of Olney
until 1903 when all 3 of them moved to Coles co. in the twp of Mattoon, IL. where Cyrus,
Josephine died and Geo remarried and died in 1934 in Crawford co. and buried with his wife and
dau and grandau and his father and my mother. But nothing was mentioned of Mazilla died before
Cyrus or anything of Mazilla. by the Mattoon Gazzett or Mattoon Journal. Or any local papers
where she was living.
So you see I have nothing of her before dec.1845
The
Roberts fam. is my husband,'s mother,'s paternal side; this is what I have . James E.
Roberts b. 1835 Va his mother is Susannah born 1877 Va his father?? b.//Va He married
Sarah? they had James W. 1864, John 1866, Charles Winston july 13,1868 (grandfather of my husb.)
They went to Ky and in the Adair co.census by 1880 where Charles was about to be 2. They lived in
Gradysville, Leatherwood prect. I have all the up to date info. but nothing before 1880. I dont
know if John James and Charles were born in Ky,Va,N.C. as was said in the 1910 census in Adair
co.Ky. I know James E. died before 1900 in Adair ?? and his mother also.

ANDERSON, ASTON, BUTLER, COLEMAN, HILL, JOHNSON,
PULPRESS -
Richard G Coleman 1841 in E.VA died 1894 in Carnegie PA; Eliza Jane Coleman 1838 in
VA died in Carnegie PA 1881, I was told that Eliza was Indian,
Their other children were:
Susan Ann, Richard jr, George, Lilley, Ellen, Howard, Katie, John, Sarah.
They all lived in
Carnegie when it was called Mansfield Boro before 1894, When the name was changed to Carnegie Pa.
I can not seem to find anything else out about them. I know that Eliza and Richard Both were
Born in VA and came to PA but it is unknown to me what his fathers name was Or where his father
lived. And the same for Eliza Jane.
Can You give me some tips to locate The Coleman's of VA.
There were other names in the bible Johnson from VA, Anderson from VA,
Pulpress, Hill, and as I stated above Aston.
My search started when I
realized My grand dads real name was Coleman and not Butler as we go by to this
day. Thank you
My family is Mulatto and Black
Eliza and her husband Richard are in the
1870 and 1880 census

Looking for an Isaac Ingram --birthdate unknown but probably around 1790 give or take. His
daughter, Margaret, was born in 1816 and census lists her as born in Virginia.

HILL, HOWELL -
Looking for Hill ancestors from VA> My G-Grt grandfather born abt 1810 +-2, in VIrginia.
Lemuel B. Hill. Had Sister Parthena who married a John Howell, from the
Howell's of SC. Migrated to MS in 1830's, then to Texas republic in 1839. I am hoping
there is a connection to a Hartwell Hill of Brunswick County VA. If anyone has info on
this man it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you., Obsessed with finding my Hill roots.

PHARES, SMITH, STALLMAN -
Hi, I am in search of a Family Called Smith..?? Yes I know Smith is a big name..
They lived in Wyoming County, Va. Father born in NC., Mother born in Va. Have no names for the
parents or siblings, but my GG-Grandmothers name is Mary A. "Polly" Smith and she lived
with her Cherokee people there in Va. She had always passed for white. In 1870's she married my
Andrew Phares Born in WV. had many children and have their names. Then he died and she
married a William Stallman born in WV. also. Had 1 child with him in 1892. Last Polly and
William were seen was on the 1900 census with Son william and 3 of her other children. As far as
I know they never left WV. but could be wrong. Looking for death cert. and names of her Mother
and father and siblings.. Any help is great.. Thank You Sherry

WILLIAMS -
Seeking info on Levi Williams born 1777 Shenandoah valley "near Frederick". Left home 1792
to join Gen Wayne Anthony in PA for Legion of the US against the Ohio Hostiles. Made his home in
Ohio after 1800. Trying to break 'wall' to find his parents and home in the valley. He didn't
read or write so some difficulty that way. Any ideas greatly appreciated by his ggg-grandson in
Calif.

I am searching for the parents of my great-great-great-grandfather, John Rusk born Feb. 8,
1790 in VA and died July 17, 1864 in Kenton County, KY. I have no information at all about his

Researching William M Thomas, born 1839 Rose Hill VA. county unknown. He married Almeda
Sowder born 1841 Whitley Co., KY. The above names are in my "Thomas line" that settled in
Claiborne Co. Tazewell. I descend from Bonnie Beatrice Thomas 1926 who was the dght of
John Wesley Thomas 1893 who was the son of Joseph P Thomas. Can provide more infor.

BAKER, GILBERT, WOOD, WOODS -
I am searching the Virginia unknown counties for the name of WOOD/ WOODS There were
several children in the family, Lucille, Margaret, Rachel Ann, Barbara, Roger, Jimmy.
Rachel
Ann Wood/Woods Gilbert, was born about 1934 and died in 1958. She was in the Army
and I believe entered the service in Roanoke.
Jimmie /(James) graduated from Boy's Town Ne.
Lucille married a Baker and lived in College Park Md.
Any information on this
family would be gratefully received.

RICHARDS -
I am at the proverbial brick wall! I have found Peter Richards married to an Elizabeth,
1790 in Virginia. What I don't know is where in Virginia and any other relatives of these two.
Can anyone help or do I have to make a trip to Virginia and roam every county there? Thanks in
advance.
