BLACK, SMITH -
I am looking for Genealogy Information on my Great Great Great Great Great (May 1765) Grandfather, Joseph SMITH, Sr. He was said to have been born on a ship coming to the Colonies from Scotland or Ireland in May 1765. He and, at least his mother, unknown name, LIVED in and around Prince Edward County Virginia until At LEAST 1793. Joseph SMITH Sr. married an Elizabeth BLACK or Wythe County Virginia Dec 19, 1793 in Prince Edward County Virginia. They may have been married in a Methodist of Episcopal or Methodist-Episcopal Church, as his relatives that lived later in Indiana were Methodist-Episcopal. Joseph and Elizabeth Smith raised 9 children, 7 of whom survived, and moved from Grayson County Virginia to Johnson County Indiana in about 1828. The Smith family is listed on the 1830 and 1840 USA Census.
Joseph Smith Sr. died May 6, 1847 in Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana and is buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Indiana.
Can you confirm or provide any documents, census, birth, death,marriage of Joseph SMITH Sr?

DARNELL, LEE -
I am searching for birth and early life information about Jesse Lee who fought in the Revolutionary War and later moved to western VA to join his brother Richard Lee following the war. Jesse Lee married Hannah Darnell and lived in that part of Virginia which later became Wirt County West Virginia. Jesse Lee died in 1823. I believe this Jesse Lee served in the 2nd Virginia Regiment and received a Stake and Land Warrant for the Military District of Ohio in 1784. This was a Virginia Land Warrant. Jesse Lee Is my great-great-great grandfather.

LEFTER, McMILLEN -
I am looking for any information on Jacob LEFTER, Joseph LEFTER, or any other LEFTERs living in Virginia during the 1700's. These two men were referenced in the Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement of Virginia, by Lyman Chalkley Vol.2 p297. The reference was to the March 7, 1791 marriage of John McMillen to Polly LEFTER, daughter of Jacob LEFTER. Joseph LEFTER was a surety. No location was listed. Any information on these individuals would be very much appreciated.

GOOD, GOODE -
Looking for family of Solomon Good/Goode, b. 1761 Virginia d. 1830/40 North Carolina.
He enlisted in the Revolution War in North Carolina, later moving to Burke County, North Carolina.
May have had brother William Good/Goode born Virginia, near Halifax County. He had sons Robert and John. All these names are family names used by the GOOD family of the Whitby Plantation in Virginia.
Any information will be appreciated.

I am looking for Mary Elizabeth Alley who married James Saul Nov. 12, 1897 in Wythe, Co. She was the daughter of William Hezekiah Alley and Melisha Jane "Biddie" Alley. Also for her sister Martha Jane Alley who married Elbert Warner. Also other sister Maggie Alley who married Samuel Saul (born in Pulaski, Va.) married in Alleghany,Co., NC. Also other sister Sallie Maria Alley who married Erasnus Kyle Adkins Aug. 28, 1889 in Wythe, Co., Va.

My grandpa Samuel Patton Mullins, was born in the late 1800's. He came from Wise county, he had a brother named Trigg and his fathers name was Dave Mullins- who was a regular baptist preacher I don't know any more than that if anyone has information I would appreciate it. Thanks

HARRISON, REEVES -
I am looking for any information on Josiah Reeves, I found an article that states that he was one of the first settlers in Harrisonville, MO and came to MO from VA with the Harrison family. I do not know what county he came from. He was born somewhere around 1782. He may have come from NY to VA with his parents. Parents names are not known. Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

ADAMS, FOSTER, JONES -
I am looking for information on my great-grandparents, Peter Beverly Jones, b. 18 June, 1824 and Mary Frances Foster, b. 16 June 1822. Mary Frances Foster's parents were Joshua Foster and Susan Wood Adams. This is all the information any of my family has on them. They are reported to have been born in Virginia and were married in Henderson County, Tenn. All of their children were born in Dyersburg, Tenn. The names of their children were Robert Fenner b. 24 May 1854, Sarah Beatrice b. 1857, Eldridge Valson b. 18 Aug. 1859, Walter Seaford (my grandfather), b. 13 July 1861, Beverly Davis b. 25 April 1863, George R. b. 1866, and Sidney Floyd Jones, b. 1868.
Any information regarding the Jones or Foster families would be greatly appreciated.

HATFIELD, JOHNSON -
I am looking for information on Jesse Hatfield born 4 Aug 1806 in Virginia. He married Mariah Johnson in Ohio, so he must have moved from Virginia before 1828. This is all the information I have on him and at this time I am not really sure he is part of my family. He is listed in the 1850 census as being born in Virginia. Thank you for any help you may be able to give my on this person.

SMITHSON -
From Bible records James Allen Smithson b.19 Sep 1791 d. 22 Jan 1872 in Lunenburg County was buried in Lone Oak Church Cemetery, in the Wattsboro area of the county. looking for location of this old church and if there is access to the cemetery.
