GREER, KINKAID -
Researching the descendants of ANDREW GREER (b. 1730, Ireland) and wife Ruth
KINKAID who appear in land records of Augusta Co. (1760), and Botetourt Co. (1776). Andrew
Greer and descendants were early Tennessee settlers. Please contact me if you have any

MUSSELWHITE, POSTON, SPEAR, SPEER -
Searching for information on Cora Spear or Speer (sp?) and Peter Poston.
They had two sons Bradley and Bob (Robert) who were born on the Johnson Plantation in Salt Creek,
Virginia. I do not know what county Salt Creek is/was in. She was supposedly from a wealthy
family who disowned her because she married Peter Poston who was a fur trader. Her sister was
named Gertrude and married Sam Musselwhite (sp?). She was my grandmother's mother. My
grandmother was born in Boise, Idaho. Cora died when my grandmother was a small child and Peter
became an alcoholic and died soon after. The information above was told to my grandmother by her
brothers, Brad and Bob and may not be entirely valid; however she did know her aunt who was
always referred to by my mother as "Great-Aunt Gerdy Musselwhite". If anyone has
any information on these people or can tell me where Salt Creek or the Johnson Plantation was, I

GILBERT, WALLACE -
Please help. I am looking for any information on Felix Gilbert (b. abt 1754) who married
Nancy Jane WALLACE (b.1758). I need any information on their parents. A couple of
sources indicate that Nancy Jane Wallace may have been at least part Indian. They have
been traced to Anderson County, TN in 1802 and then to Clay Co. KY in 1811 where they stayed. We
have been unable to determine exactly where either of them were born or who the parents were.

Seeking information on the GAUNT family of Northern VA. We suspect that Joseph, John
& William GAUNT who died in Caroline Co. were sons of Joseph GANT the
immigrant, who lived in Essex Co., VA in the early 1700s. Also, suspect that Ambrose
GAUNT, who m. Sarah VAUGHN, was a son of Joseph GAUNT of Loudoun Co. We also
suspect that Reuben GAUNT (in the 1787 census of Caroline Co.), James Gaunt of
Caroline Co. and Joseph GAUNT of Loudoun Co. were sons of either Joseph, John or William
GAUNT of Caroline County. Would like to exchange info with anyone interested.

I am searching for info on Benjamin WAGES/WEDGES/WAGERS, born 15 March 1742. According to
his Revolutionary War Pension Papers he served on the VA state line under a Capt. Sumpter. Later
moved to North Carolina. What was the name of his unit? Who were his parents and siblings.

In 1771 moved from VA to GA where he and his brothers Jacob and John settled with Cherokees. In
1795 he lived with sons Robert, Solomon, and Jeptha. Robert died in LA.
