I'm doing research on Abel Strickland and Jane Goforth. The family was orginally
from somewhere in Virginia in the 1800s. They relocated in New Madrid, Missouri- for they were in
Missouri in 1821. Can you give me any information on this family and direct me into other
locations to find more on this family? It is known that this couple had children. Abagail,
Wilson, and Elizabeth. May have had other children but that is unknown. Any information that you

I am researching the Peter Hunter family of New London. They lived on land just outside
of New London from the 1790s until 1870 when they lost the land. My grandfather and great
grandfather were both named Peter Hunter. The latter may have married a Mary or Angelic ?
Noell. There were also Goulsbys. some family names were Elizabeth or Zirella
(spelling?), Moriah, Alexander, Robert.

Seeking link of Elizabeth HAY TALIAFERRO RENNOLDS who married Reuben
RENNOLDS on or aroud 1800 and moved to Louisa County. Seeking marriage record and/or birth
records in unknown county prior to 1800 when she moved to Locust Green, Louisa County, VA. I know
that her mother was Elizabeth HAY. I think she was probably from Caroline or Hanover or
Spotsylvania Counties, because she named her children surnames of BATTAILE,
TALIAFERRO, HAY, and STOCKDALE (or STOCKDELL) (She was my
great-great grandmother) I have done extensive research on several neighboring counties and
believe I have found the probably allied family but would like to have documented proof.

Looking for area in Va. where Henry MILLER (ca. 1746, m. Catherine ELY 1770, Pa.)
settled from about 1773 to about 1800 to 1812, depending on whether they went to Wayne &
Union Co. Indiana by way of Carter Co. Tn. or not. Son John m. Catherine Miller in Carter
Co. Tn. in 1797. Don't think the rest of the family followed but? Looking for marriages of
Millers: Christain to Catherine ????, Henry Jr. to Esther Zeik, Jacob to Sarah
Neil (Nail?) , Daniel to Elizabeth ????, Martha to John Shelley
(Shelly) and Elizabeth to George Rader. They were all m. before coming to Indiana,
would like to find Co. in Va. where all these names gathered! Any help appreciated.

MOORE -
I am looking for my ancestors who were in Granville County NC from 1810-1870. Most of them
disappear after that. I think they may have gone to Virginia, since Granville County is so close
to the Virginia border. I am looking in particular for a William Moore and Avey
Moore with a son George Aldridge (Born 1869) so he would be about 10 years old. Also a
Mary Moore with children (one of them is Elijah Moore about 17 years old). Thanks.

ca 1634-35. Later lived at Upper Chippokes Plantation (adjacent to a current state park, Lower

Crafton decendents were: Michael, Richard, Bennett Crafton.

EVERHART, TOTTER -
I am searching for birth location and parental lineage on the following individual: Susannah
TOTTER dob=abt 1828 to 1829 somewhere in Virginia dod=unknown. Susannah TOTTER
married: Christopher or possibly Christian Everhart dob=abt 1810 in Baden, Germany
dod=unknown. This couple settled in Huntington County, IN and are shown in the Huntington County
census in 1860 and 1870. They were probably married in Indiana abt 1853. Any information on
either Susannah TOTTER and or Chritopher EVERHART would be most appreciated.
