GARNER -
I have found an estate settlement in the archives of Morgan County Ga which mentions a William Garner from Virginia. Here is what a part of it says: "June 1834 - Cash received of William Garner, executor, of William Garner, deceased, of the State of Virginia, legacy due the estate of Richard Garner, deceased, $2115.65."
Richard died in 1827 about the age of 40 leaving a widow, Mary, and four children, Sarah, William, Jane, and John (my gggrandad) so it seems like William Garner, dec, of Virginia could have been the father of Richard Garner of Morgan County, GA and the executor could have been his brother. I would be interested in interpretations of this and advice where this William Garner might have resided. I am searching for Richard Garner's parents. Thanks,

ADAMS, ROBERTSON -
Researching Nancy Robertson (c1796-1845) who married William Adams on Dec 24, 1816 in Loudoun Co, Va. Nancy and William were the parents of the following children: John Henry (1817); Susan; Mason Clarence (1822); James Alfred (1825); Joseph William (18?); Nancy E. (1834); Mary Catherine (1836); and Richard (abt1839). I know nothing of her parentage or siblings. As a matter of conjecture, there was a Henry Robertson who died in 1836 and is buried in Waterford, Va. Since their first born son was named John Henry this could have been her father. Any help would be appreciated. Carol Adams

SHOCKLEY, SMITH -
SHOCKLEY lived in Willis Wharf, VA. I know his first wife died around 1928. Her name was Loretta SMITH SHOCKLEY. From some of the relatives I have contacted, I was told that Uncle Les' children did not like the step mother. They never heard their granmother's name, so I am lost. In the 1930 census for Willis Wharf it lists Uncle Les' head of household, then his children. I presume he remarried after 1930. I am not sure but I think his daughter-in-law is still living in Willis Wharf, she was married to L. Mayheau SHOCKLEY, Jr. If anyone has any info on VA. Marriages after 1930, I would appreciate it. Thanks, PS. If any SHOCKLEY kin read this query, please feel free to contact me.

FRY -
My ancestor-Abraham Fry originated in Va. before migrating to Licking Co, Ohio sometime between 1795-1800 I believe. He had a wife-Mary- and several children in Ohio but I don't know whether he was married in Va. or Ohio. He died in 1826 in Ohio. Two sons migrated to Ill. from Ohio around 1835 and I descend from Abraham Fry (1807-1883). The 1880 Census shows his father as being from Va. Would like to make contact with others researching same name.
