Dillsaver, married James Frye and then married Henry Herron. I want to find

Greetings, I am looking for the home, parents, etc of a Robert SCOTT, who had a son John
SCOTT in Kentucky in 1817 (dob on tombstone 1818) on some family papers. Mother of John
Unknown, b. KY. NO clue of siblings, or other data.
A help may be that John Cornelius
Scott, his full name, moved to Henry Co IOWA and married a Rebecca Morrow b 1820-1
whom was born in Mercer Co. KY?. She was the daughter of John MORROW and Patience
TUTTLE. I have their marriage data.
I have dug for 20 years and have had little
success but have never blind queried for Virginia. John Scott listed his father as born
Virginia on all his papers. His mother was born Kentucky.
I am most curious about the
Cornelius Scott that moved to the Carolina's and that had a son, Robert Scott,
Since MY Robert's son was named John Cornelius Scott.
The Cornelius
Scott researcher I have spoken to has nothing on this son Robert Scott.

BARRON, JONES -
Looking for Elizabeth Barron who married a Mr. Jones. She was from the Hampton
area, but Mr. Jones was from a county not named in Virginia. They had a least 5 children a
Alexander Jones and also a son named Cary Selden Jones. Cary settled in Elizabeth
City Co and was living there when the Civil War broke out and their home was destroyed early in
the war and they refugeed to Richmond where they must have perished as no further information is
available on the family. I am looking for the first name of Mr. Jones. Elizabeth
Barron is the daughter of Richard Barron of the Va State Navy during the
Revolution. Please if anyone has any information on this family please contact me. I will be glad

Seeking information regarding Peter Crim and/or his wife Elizabeth
Shafer/Shaffer/Shaver who were md in Rockingham County abt 1805. I believe
her also to be the sister of my 3rd great grandfather Peter Shafer ... who md. Barbara
Bowman in 1804-5 in Rockingham County. This Peter was bn 1780 and his death records state
he was born in Lancaster, PA
I believe Elizabeth is the daughter of William (or Peter or
Peter William or William Peter Schaeffer) and Mary (Anna Maria Moyer)
Shafer...and step daughter of Matthias Miller (who md the widow Mary
Schaeffer some time before 1790)
If anyone has information or would like to

Caleb Cooper of Franklin co. Va 1805 to 1873; Mother Frances ......? Cooper brn:
1780 Franklin co. Died 1860-61. Her death record says she was the daughter of John and
Jane Cooper. Evidently she was not married, but still bore 2 boys, Caleb
and Joel. I have looked at the FHL Salt Lake City for probate, her will is recorded on 1860
proved on 1 Apr 1861; her father willed land to her ????date; She wills it to Caleb and his
children, Ann, Mary, Sally, Julina, Ruthra Cooper. Caleb's will is Frkl. Co.??? His
instructions or deed to his children is on 6 Jan 1872 where Ann F. Cooper is selling 75
acres of her grandfather's land to Wm and Jane Hazlewood. Her father settled in Franklin
Co, but from where did he come?. Area is Bonbrook, land on Prathers Run and they have John and
Lewis Cooper land adjacent to Frances' land. A good friend Wm G. Meador was
executor of Frances' will. In some records, they say born in Roanoke... I would appreciate any
help. Our lines run together in Bedford Co. VA. On a different line than this. Connie

was born in Virginia. They migrated to Floyd County, Kentucky. Samuel's mother was Susan
Helton born 1775 in Virginia. His father was Thomas Helton, born abt 1754 in

Hi, I am looking for any information on William Wheatley who married Emma Taylor.
Not sure of birth dates (would be interested in any siblings, parents, cemetery. marriage dates,
birth dates etc.) More interested in learning more about, Emma's TAYLOR connection, I have
some leads on Wheatleys. I believe she (Emma) later married a Brown when William
died (around 1912-17?). These are my grandfather's parents. I seem to remember my grandfather
saying his dad died when he was 12 or so and that his father was early forties or fifties when he
died so birth maybe 1860's- 1870's. I am not sure where they are buried. My grandfather was
William Samuel Wheatley, born March 1903. Elsie Wheatley Clatterbuck was his
sister as was Lucy Wheatley White. (born 1890's) His half sister was Carrie
Brown who married Claud Bache (Backe?) They lived in Louisa, VA. My
grandfather lived in Culpeper County, (Lignum, VA.) His sisters lived in Fauquier County NEAR
REMINGTON, VA.. I believe the Wheatley Farm was in Fauquier. (Wheatley's Ford? Civil
War) County. I had heard we may possibly be related to Zachary Taylor of Orange County, somehow.
I know we have connections in Spotsylvania, Culpeper, Faquier, Louisa counties. Thank you in
advance for your help.

I am searching for the parents of my late great grandfather, A.H. (Archie or Archibald)
Winn, who was born about 1847 in Tennessee. His father was born in Virginia but I do not
know his name or birthplace. His mother's name is believed to be Thursda (Thursy) Winn,
born in N. Carolina but I do not know the date or place or her maiden name. He had older
siblings, including a Washington Winn, who served in the Civil War, who were all born in
North Carolina (places unknown). Apparently they all came to Tenn. prior to my great
grandfather's birth. Thursy is shown as a Widow on 1860 Tenn. Census.

Searching for ancestry of James Simms (Sims) who was born I believe in Brunswick
County, VA June 1774. James Simms, was the first "Sims" landowner in Marion Co.,
Tennessee. He was assigned land from the former owner, Luke Hendrix, on 30 Oct 1821,
registered 18 Jan 1828, (82 acres on Battle Creek) according to deeds of Marion Co. Early Land
Vol. II. In 1824 #171 Cumb Mtn. & Battle Crk 50 acres, 1827 #710 Battle Crk. Other
!CENSUS:
1830 Census of Marion Co., TN shows James Simms also son, Gilbert Simms, the only
Sims' shown in the county.
!CENSUS: 1840 Census of Marion Co., TN shows James
Sims age 60-70 yrs; wife (Tobitha) age 50-60 yrs; 1 male (?) 5-10 yrs; 1 male (Wm. Argyle)
15-20 yrs; 2 males ( prob. James and Michael) 20-30 yrs; 1 female (Nancy) 20-30 yrs. Older
children were gone from the home.
Children: Gilbert; Mary; Martha Jane; Matthew B.;
Littleton; Celia; James Hendrix; Michael; William Argyle.

Looking for a John (born early 1800s Va.) and Julia Shelton Nelson (born 1823 N.C.
or Va.) who had a son born in Va., William Columbus Nelson; between 1851-1877.Both were to
have said to have died the same day with rest of Wm.'s siblings,names unknown. I have tried
1850-1880 census for Va. and can't find any year with all three names together. Most common dates
for Wm.'s birth is Aug.12,1851, 1857,or 1870. They had relatives in N.C. Rowan Co. area. Other
names associated with family are Ellen Louise, Arthur Hefler, Joseph David, Lillian Ann, and
Belah Jane.

Elizabeth Ann Baynard gave birth to a son in Philadelphia in l798 who was named Baynard
Rush Hall. I have much Hall information. I need, but can't find the parents of
Elizabeth Ann Baynard. Any record of marriage of John and Elizabeth, or data on his
practice in Virginia, and especially her parents would be much appreciated.

McGEE, THOMPSON -
My family name is Thompson. Richard Thompson born Russell, Virginia 1777, married 19 Nov
1799 to Mary McGee and died Ray County, Missouri around 1850, he is on the census in 1850.
What I have on him is very little. I have not found a will. My direct descendant is John
Wadda/Wadday Thompson born 29 Jan 1801 Patrick Virginia I know Thompson is a common

Still looking for family of Olivia B. (Livy) Meador who married my grandfather Dr. Charles
R. Huckabay in Roxton, Tx., b/Oct. 28, 1871 per birth certificate. She died in a roller
skating accident in 1906 in Roxton. I believe she was born in Franklin County to Wm G.
