had 2 children: Sarah and Matilda before moving to Lebanon KY around 1800, and much later to

Frances.

BLANKENSHIP -
Have researched our Blankenship line back to Va. ca 1786 when Rowland Blankenship
was born. Have no information on him until he appears in Knox County, TN and marries there at
age 29. Have reason to believe but cannot prove that his father's name was Joseph and mother was
Phobe and that maybe Rowland and Joseph went to TN via Tazewell County. He could have been
married before he reached TN and his wife died?? Do you have any information that might help me?

EVANS, MAY -
Robert EVANS was born between 1726 & 1744. His place of birth is yet to be
determined. He may have been born in Virginia or North Carolina or even Maryland. He died
1830-1848 and is buried in Perry Co., Alabama. His wife Sarah Hetty May born about 1749
and died about 1863 is buried in the family cemetery of one of their daughters in Jefferson Co.,
Alabama. Before moving to Alabama they had the following children: Joseph born 5 May 1768,
Virginia (My ancestor); Ruth born 1 January 1777 in Guilford Co., NC; Melton Jabez born 1788 in
SC; Sarah born about 1790 in SC; Solomon born 1790 in SC; Margaret born 2 September 1794 and
Mary Evans. Any help in determining the origin of Robert EVANS or connecting with

HOYT, MACGAHEE, MCGURTHY -
Seeking information on David S. MACGAHEE (MCGURTHY) and his wife, Laura
HOYT. Have records showing David living in Decatur IL. from 1870 (census) which indicate
he was born in OH., but can find no record of him in OH. Family history says he was originally
from VA and that he changed his name there, however, the record of his 2nd marriage (in Decatur
IL, Oct 8, 1863) gives the Macgahee name. A son, Frank (age given as 14 in 1870 census,
place of birth, OH) apparently came with him to Decatur, but can find no record of Laura
Hoyt. d.o.b for David 1829. Would appreciate ANY information and/or suggestions on where

DAVIDSON, OWEN -
I search for my ancestor. His name is William Arthur Davidson and he was born June 20,
1833, in Virginia. I just don't know exactly where in Virginia. I don't know if he had any
siblings. William Arthur Davidson married to Margaret Owen about 1848 or 1849 and
they had seven children. I found William's parents!! I may have a connection to Gloucester city
and Gloucester County, Virginia in the year 1787. I sure would love to know. I am willing to
share all that I do have on my family. Thanks for any help out there!

ABRAMS, SPENCER -
I am searching for the James SPENCERs who were in VA prior to 1765. In "Kegley's
Virginia Frontier" by FB Kegley, he stated that there were Spencers at Busby Forest
along with Reads, Bouldins Coles, Mortons, Jennings, Cobbs, Marshalls, Bedfords, McNesses,
Carringtons, Erwins, Woodsons, Friends and Baldwins. Does anyone know where Busby Forest is/was
located? James Spencer's wife is thought to have been Mary ABRAMS. Any help would

I am looking for information on my grandmother Ida May SIFFORD (married name) born 1885
died 1969. One of her sons was named Harmon Daniel or Daniel Harmon SIFFORD born 1910.
Her other son was named I believe Howard?. Ida is buried in the Sifford Cemetery

MARTIN -
Please, I need suggestions about where to look to determine if there is any family connection
between Captain John Martin (of Jamestown fame -- Martin's Brandon) and Abram
Martin who came to Virginia (Albemarle) circa 1680. From this Abram came these
Martins in this order: John, Abram, John (a South Carolina migration occurs somewhere in
here), Edmund, John Marshall, John Marshall, and so on to Marion Co. Florida. I've looked at a
number of entries in the Virginia Magazine of History and the Willam and Mary
Quarterly, etc. I can't even find when and where Capt. Martin died. I did find that
his father was Richard Martin a London goldsmith and that Capt. Martin may have had
a daughter named Dorcas. Any leads you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so
