BOZWORTH, GRAY, HARDEN, HARDING, JORDAN, OWENS, SMITH, WADE, WATKINS -
John Wade and his family lived in West Augusta District before moving to Nelson County,
Kentucky about 1789. His daughters, Nancy (married to Thomas Gray) and Mary Martha "Patsy"
(married to Robert Harding) probably took place in or near this area. His sons, Joseph
(married to Barbara Jordan) and Greenbury (married to "Polly" Smith) took place in
Nelson County, Kentucky. John Junior (married Martha "Patsy" Owens), Sophia (married to
Evan Watkins, Jr.) Sarah (married to James Owens) and Druzilla (married to Henry
Bozworth) took place in Washington County, Kentucky. There was also a son by the name of
William, I don't know who he married. John Wade was married to (first name unknown)
HARDEN. It is my theory that John Wade's children were born in this area. According
to Goodspeed, John had three brothers, and they were all from Virginia.

MILLS, MORRIS,
SKIDMORE, STONE, WATTS -
Elias "Ali" Watts (Sr.) was born ca.1762-1775 in UNKNOWN PLACE. Based upon my research, he
was related to a William Watts and possibly Col. John Watts. Hardesty's WV Heritage
says that John Watts is the progenitor in WV of the Watts. Elias "Ali" supposedly
married Eleanor "Nelly" Elender Mills, d/o William Mills and Eleanor Morris;
gd/o Ambrose Mills and Mourning Stone, in NC in 1794. This is not substantiated.
Their first Child, Ambrose Watts stated in 1850 that he was born in Ga. in 1798. We find
William Watts in Kanawha County, Va (Now Cabell County, WV) in 1810 Census but he moved on
with David and James to Indiana. Elias "Ali" was apparently killed by Indians (family folklore)in
ca. 1808. "Nelly", who shows up in the 1820 Kanawha Census remarried a ________ Skidmore
and had two other children, Perlina in 1814 and Daniel Jackson in 1817. They do not show up
together in any census or tax reports. The Watts Family in WV can trace them from there.
What we don't know is 1. Who were Elias "Ali" Watts' parents and where was he born.
