MCCLENNY -
My Great-Grandfather,Charles Terrell "Charlie" MCCLENNY, was born in Western Branch
Township, Norfolk Co.,VA. His parents were H. Gilliam and Sarah (unknwn) McClenny. I know
that H. Gilliam MCCLENNY was married to two other women and two other families. He died at
age 104, and he had his last child at age 102. His brother(?), Carr Bowers MCCLENNY, was
one of the founders of Macclenney, FL. I need data on the above named individuals.

BROOKS, CHEEK, KELLAM -
I am seeking information on my paternal grandmother Frances C, possible middle name of Catherine,
or maybe called Fannie. Fannie was born n 1879 and died in 1904. She was married to my
grandfather Thomas Lee Cheek and they are buried together at Holt Cemetery in
Guilford Co. NC Can find no info on parents of Fannie, except that her father's name on on
marriage licence is Samuel. Wondering if this is Samuel Alford Kellam born 1848 and died
1911 in Guilford Co. This would make Fannie the sister of Samuel Calvin Kellam b. 1881,
son of Mary Ida Brooks and SA Kellam.

I wish I had a clue. I did not know my father's family: Benjamin F. McDonald b. 1895 in
WV. m. Mary E. Taylor b. 1896 in Va. (this I obtained from father's death cert.) Their
children: William (Billy) Warren McDonald (b. June 30 1921 in Mercer Co. WV. d. March 14,
1972 in DC. m. Miriam Maynard b. Feb. 09, 1936 in Logan, WV., on March 30, 1954 in Graham
VA.); Jack M. McDonald (m. Jennie ?. lived in Lanham Md. in 1972. children: Jackie,
Ronnie, Kimberly); Juanita Tooley; Minnie Hammacher; and Mary Quinn. I wish
I had more. I searched for two years for this much.

ROSSON, WEAST -
We are searching for the parents and/or siblings of Jacob Gordon Weast, (dob)3/2/1825, in
Augusta VA. He married Elizabeth Ann Rosson (dob) 5/25/1835, at Mt. Zion, Culpepper Co.
They lived on a plantation in Madison Mills where their 8 children were born between 1857 and
1876. 2 children died 5/12/1861 and 6/12/1871. Jacob died or is buried in Palmyra, Fluvanna Co on
5/18/1881 and Elizabeth died 2/13/1901 in Culpepper Co. We need the names of cemeteries where
they are and any other information available. The living children came to California prior to
1900. Since Elizabeth was a Rosson and they were in Culpepper Co., she could be buried in
a family cemetery if there is one. On the internet, I found pictures of the old and new
Rosson home in Culpepper Co., but I cannot find where in the Co. it is located. On the
net, I found ancestors of Elizabeth, but nothing for Jacob. My uncle and I will be visiting VA
the 1st week of Sept. and hope to find some of this missing information. Any and all information
would be most appreciated. Thank you Marian

SHORT, THOMAS -
I am looking for family links to Andrew Short born in 1789 in Virginia. He married a
Leantha Thomas of KY so it may be possible that his family was near the far western
border, but I have no proof! He left VA in 1827 to OH then after having ten children they moved
to IA> I have all of the family links from the THOMAS/SHORT wedding, but need prior to
1789!

Am seeking information about: John Simpson, b. ca. 1792 somewhere in Virginia. Married a
Nancy and eventually wound up in Licking Co., OH. Children were: Alvin (listed as Allen in the
1860 OH census), Jeremiah, George W., Mary, Susan, John William, Catherine, and Anna. Does anyone
have a stray Simpson that fits...or is he another one of my ancestors who beamed down from

EAGAN, McKAY, WHITSON -
Susannah and Lydia WHITSON were probably born in Stafford Co. VA about 1760. They were the
daughters of William and Margaret WHITSON. Susannah married unknown EAGAN before
1783 and Lydia married unknown MCKAY before 1783. Any info on the families of Susannah
EAGAN and Lydia MCKAY would be greatly appreciated.
