I am a descendant of the Abraham Sauls that was born about 1705 and lived in Isle of Wight Va. He died in 1771. I would appreciate all records/and or family information available.

RALEIGH, THOMPSON -
I am in search of ANY information that can be located on the parents and Family of Eli or Ely THOMPSON, b. 1827 in VA. The only record I have been able to find is a Kentucky State Archives-Vital Statistics-Breathitt County Register that lists Thompson, Eli--aged 30; d. Sept. 15, 1858; married; farmer; residence North Fork; birthplace Ash Co., Va. Eli married Elizabeth "Betsy" RALEIGH b. 1834 in Breathitt County, Ky (date unknown) and they had (2) sons, John, b. 15 Aug 1852 d. 13 Dec 1930 and Daniel b. 12 Jan 1856 d. 1927. If anyone is researching the family of Eli or Ely THOMPSON that migrated from VA to the Breathitt County, Ky area around 18, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Looking for any help or information, on my African/American, gg grandfather John Jay Green / John J or James Green, born c 1823 Portsmouth, Virgina, came to Australia, about 25 years later to the goldfields in Victoria, and married my gg grandmother Ellen Shelvin, who came from Ireland ...My family of Greens, have no futher information on him, or who his parents were, or if he was a slave, or how he came to be in Australia... Can anyone help me??? or point me in the right dirrection to begin my search on him..

Would like any info on the Linn family of Sussex Co. Va. Curtis Linn was in Warren Co. Ga. and was in the 3rd Ga. Bat. He came to Georgia cir 1778 from Sussex Co. The Linns were someway connected to Tedders and Hearns of Sussex.

I am looking for the family of Dora Bellamy, who moved to KY and m. 7/23/1878, to John S. Long. She was born 1862, died 1938. The information I have is that her father died during the Civil War and her mother died in childbirth. Dora and her siblings moved to KY and lived for awhile with a James Bellamy, possibly an uncle. Her siblings are: Ella b. before 1855, Robert Lee b. bef 1863, Charles b.bef 1866, John Jackson b. bef 1868, and Mildred Bellamy b. bef 1869. Thanks

Am researching for William and Lidda (Grindstead) Siry. Have them in Washington county in the late 1800's. Their son, Levi, is my grandfather. They changed the spelling of their last name to Syria before moving to the state of Washington in the early 1900's. Any lead to family history researchers for the Siry or Grinstead family will be appreciated. Thanks.

ROBERSON, ROBERTSON, ROBINSON -
I am trying to find a county book that mentions a John Roberson/ Robinson as surveyor for that town/county. I saw the book several years ago, and I remember the line "John Roberson/ Robinson/ Robertson was surveyor for this". I did not copy this, and have kicked myself ever since.
I know this is a "blind search" but hope that someone can help me. John Roberson left Franklin Co in about 1798 and went into NC where he died. I have been told he was a surveyor, and feel he may have worked with George Washington.
Any clue? He did own land on Pigg River.
