TUCKER -
Do you know the children of Capt William Tucker of Jamestowne and what became of them ?
Did they have descendents living in VA ? I descend from Nathaniel Tucker of Elizabeth City
County through his son Curl Tucker who moved to NC and died there in Northampton Co. Are
these descendents of Capt William ? Capt William went to Ireland in 1642 in some capacity in
regard to the Confederate Irish Rebellion and is said to have kept a diary there. Where is this
diary? He died in 1643/4 and his will is said to have been probated in England. Where would one
get a copy of that estate settlement ? He stopped in London on his way to Ireland and went up to
St Dunstans Church in Stepney area and made his will. This has been published. Any help with
tracing this family much appreciated. He was one of the main men at Jamestowne and almost
certainly saved them from annihilation by the Indians. It seems surprising to me that more is not
known about his family and his demise. Perhaps the info is there and I have not been lucky enough
to find it.

I am searching for a Robert Long, b. 1784 VA, died abt. 1843 OH, married Eliza
Bains in Ohio, she was born 1784 VA, died abt. 1840 IA
I found Robert's and Eliza's

International Marriage Records on Ancestry
So far we are not sure if this line of
Longs came from Germany or Ireland, or if even either
We are not sure how Robert and

Robert and Eliza Long came
to Iowa, Cedar County around 1838 from Ohio, Champaign Co., along with their sons, Evan B. &

Robert, Eliza and their other 2 sons

After the death of Evan B. abt.
1840 and Eliza abt. 1840 in IA, Robert went to Indiana with his son, Parker and later went on
