CRIST, McCOY -
I need help! I am trying to locate & identify McCoys of the male gender that would have
been of the age to have had a child born in 1813 in Virginia. All else has failed for me in my
search for my great great grandfather Harvey McCoy b: on December 23, 1813. in Virginia. I
am trying to locate & Identify McCoy families that could have been his parents/siblings
(who they were & where they were) in & around the year 1813. My grandfather Harvey McCoy
was b: in Virginia on Dec. 23, 1813. My Harvey McCoy was in Perry Co., Indiana, where he
married Louisa Crist on October 03, 1842. They were living with their own family in
Moravia, Iowa, where Harvey McCoy taught the first school in Moravia in the winter of 1850
- 1851. Harvey also being the Justice of the Peace, married the first couple in Moravia on March
11, 1852. They were Maria Theresa & Epharim Cummins, both nineteen years of age. Harvey & his
wife lived south of Moravia on a road to Centerville. The house is still there & in good shape,
also still has people living in it. Harvey & Louisa are both buried in The Mount Pleasant
Cemetery in Monroe County, Iowa. Any information or suggestions would be very much
appreciated. I live in western Kansas. Thank You
