SETLIFF -
I am looking for info on Nathaniel(al) Setliff who came from England (when ?) and was
killed fighting Indians (war?) in Buckingham County, VA, 1640, where he is supposedly buried. Am
trying to fill in genealogy of my mother's family. Thank you.

Married a Suzanna Rippetoe, etc. He has a large number of direct decendents in the Dallas

ADAMS, BEARD -
I am looking for ancestors (parents/siblings) of Thompson James BEARD, born March 21, 1827
in Virginia (city/county unknown). Between 1842- 1844, he emigrated to Pittsfield, Pike County,
Illinois, traveling with the Isaiah ADAMS family from Stephentown, New York. On Dec. 2,
1851, Thompson married one of Isaiah ADAMS' daughters - Amy Ann ADAMS - and they
both resided in Pittsfield all their lives. They raised 5 children: twins Ella Anna & Joseph H.;
William Carter (my grandfather); George William; and Anna M. Both Joseph H. and Anna M. died
quite young. Thompson served in the 99th Regiment of the Illinois Volunteers during the Civil
War. He died on August 26, 1881 and is buried in Pittsfield. His wife, Amy, died in 1920 and is
also buried in Pittsfield. Any information would be appreciated.

My grandmother was Minnie Effie HERRON, she married Carl E RUTHERFORD. My
grandmother Minnie had seven sisters I was told. Only know one Dorothy HERRON lived on a
family farm alone. I have her father was Andy HERRON and mother Hilda DAVIS. My
father is Robert James RUTHERFORD born in Vir. He had two sisters two brothers. Looking
for anyone who might know HERRON or RUTHERFORD. One of the sisters of HERRON
family lived in a house that had family graves on it.

CASTIN, FRITH -
I am looking for John Edward Frith (1772-1829), born in Virginia, married Mary F.
Castin (b.1775) of Virginia, had children: Archibold (b.1795), Harbert C (b.1801), Rebecca
Ann (b.1802), John Edward, Jr (b.1810), William A (b.1813), Mary Ann, Thomas (b.1798), and Jane
Ray Frith. John Edward (Sr.) moved to Amite Co. Mississippi (no date), where he died.
Archibold was born in Va., died in Miss. I don't know what happened to the other children. I want
info on John Edward's family in Va. and when they came to America.

I know that William went to Texas but

GRAY, LAMBERT -
I am searching for Enos Alpheus Lambert born in 2 Feb 1806 in Virginia according to Census
records. He moved to Indiana sometime in the late 1830s and acquired land in Marshall County
Indiana in 1840. He married Mary Davis Gray 11 Oct. 1849 in Plymouth, Indiana. Mary Davis
Gray was born in 9 May 1821 in Worcester County Maryland. Enos died 17 May 1863. His
headstone says he was 57 yr. 3 mos. and 15 days old. I calculated his birth date based on this
information. Any information or assistance would be appreciated.

COLEMAN, HILTON -
I am looking for information on a John A. Coleman. He was born in Virginia around 1813. He
married a woman named Susan? (born in Virginia about 1817) around 1836. Their daughter Martha A.
Coleman was born in Virginia in 1836. These are my great-great-great grandparents and
great great grandmother. They moved to Haywood County, Tennessee before the birth of Samuel
Coleman in 1838. He later married a Mary Hilton in 1859 in Lauderdale County,
Tennessee. Any information on him would be greatly appreciated.

distant relative (Edla Waldron) that says: "The Waldron's landed in Virginia. Philip had 3 uncles
- Dan, John and Peter. They moved from Virginia to Salsbury, CT." No idea what Philip's father's
name was.

LONG -
My grandfather was Louis Melvin Long (Sr.) and he was born in Staunton, Augusta Co., on 28
January 1895. My father's recollection is that he was a store owner, but we're not sure what kind
of store it was. He served in WWI, and later moved to Richmond, then on to Baltimore, MD (1923).
Grandfather died in Baltimore on 16 August 1959. Would appreciate any information regarding the
family. My Father and his Sister are the only family remaining. My Dad's memory isn't that great

ADAMS, WILSON -
I am looking for a Sydney J. Adams, my great grandfather. He was living in Smyth Co. in
1900, as that was the location of my grandfather (James Kelly Adams) on 4-8-00. He may
also be found being born on 4/08/01. His mother's maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Wilson. I
know that this area was in dispute at the beginning of the century, so I am uncertain as to his
location, although my grandfather's SSA lists his place of birth as Smyth co. Any info you can
provide re Sydney J. Adams would be much appreciated. From a photo of his tombstone, his
year of birth was 1863, died 1911. Again, thanks for your help.
