DAWSON, GOAD -
Trying to identify the parents/siblings of John DAWSON born 21 January 1775, place of
birth unknown. His first two children were born in Virginia, county unknown. Wife's name may have
been Nancy. The two eldest children are: John Martin Dawson b 10 June 1800 and Drucinda
Dawson b 25 Nov 1801 (married John GOAD). Some of the seven subsequent children may
also have been born in Virginia. The family was in Williamson Co., Tennessee by 1818 at the very
latest... possibly as early as 1804.
I suspect John comes from the Martin DAWSON
family of Albemarle Co., VA, but cannot determine who his father would be.

ANDERSON, BRANSFORD, HILL -
I'm looking for information on Robert Hill who was born in 1766 and died in 1837 in
Buckingham, VA. I believe that he lived in New Canton in Buckingham and was married to Sally
Anderson. I also believe that they may have been the parents of John and Jane Hill.
John was born in 1800 and served in Congress (1839-41), and was a Judge in the 9th District
Court. Jane Hill married Robert Bransford, also of Buckingham. Please e-mail me if
you know anything about any of these individuals.

DAVIS -
Seeking information on Gary Davis, father of Simon Davis (Simon b. 1800 in Harrison
Co. now WV). The 1866 Harrison Co. Death records list George A. Davis son of Gary and
Rachael age 74 = b. 1792 in Virginia. Assuming the two Garys are the same (and the 1810 census of
Harrison Co. lists one Gary with wht males matching the ages of Simon and George in 1810) he must
have married and had George in eastern VA and moved to Harrison between 1792 and 1800 when Simon
was born. Any info would be appreciated.

BUSHROD, MOTHERSHEAD, NASH, WASHINGTON -
I'm researching William H. Nash of Westmoreland County, Virginia who married Alice Malinda
Mothershead. William served in the Virginia Infantry, Company C, 47th Regiment. I am
seeking his parents and a possible link to the Bushrods of Westmoreland County. His son
was named Bushrod Smith Nash which leads me to believe that he was a Bushrod
descendant. Specifically, I have a feeling that William Nash is kin to Hannah Bushrod
Washington of Bushfield. Thanks,

COPE, LEFTER, MYERS -
I am researching my husband's ancestors, his Great Grandparents were Jacob Myers & Hannah
(Lefter) Myers.
A cousin of my husband's recently called with ALL our
MYERS ancestors, back to an Fredrick Myers and Elias Myers. We now know who
our Jacob's parents , Grandparents, Grt.Grandparents and Grt. Grt parents were. They were some of
the earliest German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania and then migrated into North Carolina
and then West into the Ohio Valley.
Grt. Grandmother Hannah's father was Uriah Lefter
and he was a soldier in the War of 1812. He was wounded and he married one the nurses (Barbray
Cope) who had cared for him. She happened to be 25 years younger than he was (he was 55)
but still they had 12 children together. .... He already had an ex-wife and 9 children before
that.
Any connections to our Myers/Lefter will be welcomed.
