FOX, WATERS -
My greatgrandmother was named Mary Lou WATERS. She was born to a family who owned a stove
foundry in Virginia in 1860; the foundry was converted to make munitions for the Confederate Army
in the Civil War. My great grandfather, William FOX, met her through his business with her
father, possibly during the Civil War, but maybe as late as the 1870s. She became his 3rd wife;
and she died in childbirth with my grandmother (her only child) in March 1880 -- my grandmother's
name was Katherine Mary FOX. I cannot locate any record of marriage for Mary Lou
WATERS and William FOX in Va. or NY, nor a grave for her. He died when my
grandmother was 8 and she knew little about her parents. I would like to locate this branch of my
family -- they are the only "hole" in my family tree. The only other information we have is that
Mary Lou's father may have been named John. If anyone has any clues, could you e-mail me? Thanks
in advance.
