COOPER, STARRITT -
Looking for the parents of Nancy/Ann COOPER who married James Starritt. According
to a DAR application she was born in VA in 1759 and died in 1850 in Clarksville, Habersham
County, GA. Any lead will be appreciated- -have hit the "brick wall."

GALLIMORE, HARRISON, McPEAK, PIKE,
SIZEMORE -
Lou Pike married Robert Lee (Bob) Harrison. They had the following children: Jess,
Friel, Alice, Martha, & Willis. Bob later married Laura Gallimore McPeak in 1925.
They had Elsie & Grace Louise. Laura is buried in Shiloh, Pulaski Co., Va.. I do not have parents
for Laura or Lou. I Bob's father was William (Hog) Harrison. William's mother was Martha
Sizemore. Laura married Charles William McPeak in 1904. They had Amos, Daisy Lou,
Lilly Mae, Charles (Bill), Emma Lee, Ethel Virginia, Celia Anna, & Lissie Ellen. Laura died of
cancer. Bob had a brother named Kenny. Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

HORSBURGH, HOSBERG, PETERS -
After looking at the Internet for, what seems like a terribly long time, I hope that you can help
me.
I am trying to locate any records pertinent to my great-grandfather, David Peters,
b. 1842 in Virginia. He was a Black man. I do not know whether he was a slave or a free man.
The county of his birth I do not know. Subsequent census records state that he always listed
"Virginia" as his birthplace, as well as the birthplace of his parents.
In 1882, he married
Maria HOSBERG (HORSBURGH), b. 1857, in Ionia, Ionia County, Michigan. They settled
in Jackson County (Kansas City), Missouri, and raised a family of 6 children, 5 of whom survived.
Maria is sometimes referred to as MARIE, MARIAH and MARY in census records. She is also, at
times, referred to as "mulatta" or Black, when she was very clearly Caucasian, of Scotch, German
and Dutch heritage.
It would be greatly appreciated if you would help me find the "right
path" to information which will divulge Mr. Peters parentage, and home/county in Virginia.

1790 in Va. She might have been a Bane, Ward, Barns, or Spotts.

Trying to find info on a: Giles Elrod b1779-1784 NC or SC, Spouse: Elizabeth Thomas
b 1800 NC or SC; Children: John b 5-27-1826 M 6-17-1848 D 5-27-1914, spouse: Mary Martin,
Amanda West; Issac b 2-22-1836 D 4-002- 1919, spouse: Margaret Senneth Burgess;
Thomas b 3-1830 M 5-07-1851, spouse: Margaret Elizabeth Nolen; William b 1826 M
11s-24-1850, spouse: Mary LaFever; Giles Washington b 4-23-1823 M 3-04-1847 D 1-28-1908,
spouse: Senith Howell; one male & four females b 1810-1820. Family tradition has it that
some of these children were Indians named Morgan and adopted by the Elrod's and
used the Elrod name. Any information on especially Giles Elrod's parents and on
back would be greatly appreciated. About 45 years reasearch has been put in this by Dr.
Parker David Elrod and Edna Richards, both deceased and this is as far as they could get.

EVANS, REYNOLDS -
I am, hoping you can help me identify the parents, county of birth and any historical knowledge
of: Nathaniel Evans, born in Virginia in 1756, died in Rogersville, TN in July 1788, and
father of Rebecca and Sarah Evans. Wife is believed to be Mary. Nathaniel is possibly the
brother of Daniel and Peter Evans.
I have another reference to Nathaniel Evans,
born in 1756 and deceased in Sparta, White County, TN in 1786, and married to Mary
Reynolds. Are they one and the same? If not, who is the father of Rebecca and Sarah?

AMOS, HAWKINS -
Looking for parents of William H Hawkins, born 1766 in MD and died in Marion Co. WV 1855.
Daughter Idney Hawkins married George Amos and it is stated she was of English
descent, her grandfather coming to VA in the 1750s. William had a sister Ruth born 1769 in MD and
died in Marion Co. WV in 1869. Several ministers are known in this family. Don't know of other
siblings. Thank you
