JOHNSON, SHELDON -
I am looking for information on Barton JOHNSON and his son Archibald. Both reported
Virginia as birthplace. Barton was born about 1781, and Archibald about 1806. They move to
Ohio, and then to Eldora, Hardin County, Iowa. Archibald married Catherine Sheldon in
Muskingum, Ohio, in 1831. I do not know if they were from the VA counties, or the counties which
became West Virginia. Does any of this match your records?

ADAMS, TAYLOR -
I am submitting this query for a friend that is not on the internet....yet (grin) His name is Ron
Adams. "The information I've got about more of the ADAMS ancestory comes from my
great grandfather's family bible. I'm looking for any information connected with my great-great
grandparents, here is what I have; his name was James ADAMS, born June 11, 1805, in the
state of Virginia, and he died April 5, 1844, we believe in the state of Ohio. He married Rebecca
TAYLOR on December 17, 1830, we believe in the state of Virginia. Rebecca (TAYLOR)
ADAMS was born January 15, 1812, birth state unknown-may have been Virginia, she died
December 1, 1848. We believe at the time of their deaths that both may have been living in Ohio
or Indiana. Their children consisted of five sons and one daughter. Here's their information:
Samuel T. born 6/15/1831; George Nelson born 7/31/1833; Hiram born 11/13/1837...my great
grandfather!!!! Elanor born 3/2/1839, died 8/9/1841; Franklin born 1/20/1842; and James Clayton
ADAMS born 2/2/1844, died 7/31/1844. Other information: Brother to my great-great
grandfather was Robert ADAMS, born in 1799, do not have month and day, but according to
census records from 1850 and 1870, this birth year is accurate. He was born in Virginia. He
married Rachel (?) ADAMS in approximately 1834 or 1835. Rachel was born in 1812, in
Maryland. We believe they died while living in Illinois or Indiana. They had 3 or 4 children, one
son and 2 or 3 daughters." Thanks in advance Ron Adams

I believe soon after marrying and had several children there. I can find no children born in
Virginia. John died Abt 1855 and Mary died in 1868.

Would like all information available on DAY, Joseph & wife-Susanna (?): when &
where were they born, married, & who were their parents, etc. Joseph & Susanna with 2
sons (John & Robert) lived in Montgomery Co. 1785, left Grayson Co. ca 1798 for parts
unknown, leaving behind (1) a son [Joseph-- from whom I am descended) who 1st married Rhoda
Cock abt. 10 Aug. 1796 in Grayson Co., and 2nd married Rebecca Dunn ca 1829.
This Joseph died 1855 in Carroll Co., and (2) a daughter (Rebecca) who in Oct. 1796 married James
Bobbitt in Grayson Co. [All of this info.from a book by John P. Alderman, entitled
"Carroll 1765-1815: The Settlements"]

Buckingham County HUDNALLs. Ezekiel Wayles HUDNALL grew up in Buckingham County
and his likely parents were James & Mary Ann (Warner) HUDNALL. Ezekiel made
work proposal to Thomas Jefferson while TJ was building the University of Virginia in 1819.
Seeking information about Ezekiel's marriage and family. Ezekiel died in Richmond, Virginia, in
1854.

I am trying to find out the marriage date, parents' names, and any other info on the ancestors of
Annie WATTS, born 27 Nov 1849, died 5 Feb 1934 in Richmond(?). She married the Rev.
William Emory EDWARDS, a Methodist minister. Their daughter was Pauline VanCulan
Edwards, born 24 Aug 1885, died 4 Oct 1976. Both Annie and William are buried in
Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, but with his family, not hers. Her given name may have been
Harriet Anne Watts, although her gravestone says "Annie Watts
Edwards." Any information would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Wsetmoreland County or one of the adjacent county's) both parent born Va.. He was married 1848/49
to VIRGINIA or VIRGINIA B. b. 1828 in Va., both parents born VA. Children: SUSAN B. 1849 in
Virginia; MARGARET A. b. 1853 in Washington DC; HELEN S. b. 1856 in Washington DC; ALEXANDER b.
1860 in Washington DC; WILLIAM B. b. 1870 in Virginia; DANIEL R. b. 1875 in Washington DC. JOHN
B. MOORE died 11/12/1890 in Washington DC. William and Alexander left home sometime
between 1880 and 1900 to go west. I have complete information on the children of Daniel and his
family but nothing on the other children or on John B's parents. Any help would be appreciated.

WESTON. She was born circa 1799-1800. She was possibly a Hodge before marrying ??
WESTON. She also may have had a daughter Lydia Hodge before her union with my
mystery WESTON. They had children Moses Riley b. 1826, Jasper Newton and Nephanny
Weston circa 1829-1833 birthdates. She list on census she was born in Virginia. She was
rumored to have a father Hugh Hodge but I have no proof.

Thomas died 29 Mar 1859 Fountain County, Indiana. Need parents and other ancestors of Thomas
PRICE. Minerva ROMINE's parents were Jacob ROMINE and Martha STOUT.
Jacob probably born about 1787 in Virginia, and probably died 1850-60 in Ohio. Martha
STOUT was born in 1789 in Virginia and died 22 Aug 1862 in Fountain County, Indiana. Need
parentage of Jacob ROMINE and Martha STOUT.

I'm trying to find ancestors of William Gibson, born c. 1834 in Kentucky (possibly
Middlesboro). He lived in Dungannon, VA. before the Civil War. He had five children by his first
wife, unknown. She went back to Ft. Worth, Texas when he enlisted in the War. After the war, he
met my great grandmother, Alafare (Alzie) I'm researching GIBSONs, MILES,
BELCHERs, BARNETTs, BAKERs and SMITHs from Kentucky and Virginia.
