M'KENDREE, McANDREW, McENDREE, McENDREW, McKENDREE -
I'm looking for William (middle name possibly Humphrey or Humphries) McKendree, probable
birth date 1757, died about 1834 at a brother's farm near Nashville. Revolutionary War veteran
(commissary dept.), became Methodist preacher and then Bishop in 1808; probably a bachelor, found
no mention of a wife, family. I'm taking an on-line genealogy class here. Church history books
spell
last name as above or M'Kendree. Family stuff says it could be McEndree/

DAVIS, NETHERLAND, TATE -
Looking for information on Chesley Davis who married Mary Tate, daughter of Henry
Tate and Sarah Netherland. This marriage should have taken place in the late 1740s
to 1750s. This family moved to SC, Old 96 District. Chesley died in 1787 at Newberry County ,
SC. Children were, Nancy, Jesse, Samuel, Thomas, Vachel, Chesley, Jr., Elizabeth, Fannie, Molly,
Emily, and Rhoda. Trying to establish Chesley Sr's birthdate, and whether or not he was a
Revolutionary War soldier. At this time, I have conflicting information regarding birthdate.
One piece stating 1708, another 1728. In later generations, several descendants by the given
name of Bedford.

KEATON, LACKEY -
James M. and Martha A. (Lackey) Keaton show up in the 1850 Augusta County Census,
along with children John H., age 6; Josephine E. age 5 years; Thomas N. age 3, and George W. age
1. Another son James C. was born about 1850/51. Were there more children to this family? John,
George and James C. eventually shows up in West Virginia. Can anyone provide further data on
this family? Thanks.

N.C., son of Plummer WILLIS and Drucilla Jones Ransom THORNTON WILLIS
married Arilla DYCHE, 1837. It does not say where and gives no sources. Can anyone
confirm this, please???

ETHERTON, LIPE -
Thomas ETHERTON b. VA 1783. His middle name may have been Grantsor or Grantson, but I've
no documentation of it. His wife was Jennie/Jane LIPE (not sure if she was his first
wife). He was closely related to---possibly a brother-- to Samuel and Micajah ETHERTON.
All were located in what is now Cocke Co., TN by the 1790s. Migrated to Illinois by 1820s.

NEWBERRY, POWER -
I am researching my husband's family. His great-grandfather was David POWER born in VA/WVA
in 1841 or 1842, county and parents' names are unknown (possibly James POWER and Nancy
NEWBERRY of Scott County). David POWER is known to have been in PA after the Civil
War. His first child, a daughter Sarah E., was born in PA in 1866, mother's name and county
