BERRY, LOVE -
Looking for information on Major William LOVE, in Washington County in 1810 census, married there in 1812 at age 62 to a Prudence Berry (twice widowed). I have heard he died in 1815 in Washington County. I am wondering if it was his son William LOVE who owned the forge in Washington County, VA and raised many children and if anyone knows about this William. Some have him born in 1780 but I think he may be 'my' William LOVE born 1776, NC.
I think his children were Margaret, Harriet, Leonidas, Oscar, William, Abner - and the four I know of to my William - Alecy, Lydia, Milly and Caleb. These children range from 1800 to 1818. I think his wife's name was Mary and may have been an Indian lady. Thanks! Terijo
