KIRTNER -
My g-g-grandfather's name was Crockett Kirtner and according to the 1900 census his
parents were born in Virginia. Crockett was born in 1858 in WV. So his parents had left Virginia
by that year. Is there anyone who knows of the Kirtner family who could give me some idea
of where to start looking?

Looking for ancestors of John W. Williams, born circa 1807, married Elizabeth "Betsy"
Pearson, born 1817 probably Franklin Co., Va. Married June 23, 1837, Franklin Co., Va.
Children of marriage were: Thomas Marion, born either 1838 or 1844; Joseph B., born c1841; Louisa
B. married Jonathon H. Pearson; and Nancy E. Williams, Born 1847. Uncertain as to
birthplace of John W. Williams.

GLASS, McGHEE, NOEL -
I am looking for any information I can find on my Grandmother Machie Ella Glass b. 11
April 1890 d. 6 April 1981 married David Lanius Noel 1904. She was 14 when married and
since she was too young to marry in Virginia, they went across the State line from Bedford, Va.
to Tenn. Her Father was John D. Glass and her Mother was Martha Lilly Rose McGhee.
I am trying to find out which County they would have been married in. Also any one else who knows
anything about the McGhee and Glass family of Bedford Co. Va. Willing to share any
information I have on this extended family.

Might anyone have run across a John Porter who married a Sarah, called "Sally", about
1776? Unconfirmed tradition says the Porters were from Virginia. The maiden surname of

Henry Mason married Rebecca Jeter 1796 in Greensville Co. VA. They next are
recorded as having lived on Fountain Creek, Brunswick Co. Va. Does anyone have the date of death
of Rebecca Jeter Mason and did she and Henry Mason have children? Henry
Mason, son of Christopher Mason and Sarah Chappell, next married Lizza
(Elizabeth) Barnes 1816 Greensville Co. VA. Bennett Barnes, brother to Lizza, was
Henry Mason's Surety. Henry Mason and Lizza Barnes are my line and I would
love to exchange information with others related to Christopher Mason and Sarah
Chappell's descendants.

I'm searching for relatives/info of Henry Hicks, born Long Island 1835, a Native
American/Afro American who emmigrated to NZ in the 1860's. He was a steward on 'Eagle Wing' and
'Plymouth Rock', clippers ex NY. He wrote at length of the Parson and his family from West
Virginia onboard in 1854. Id be keen to find out more about this man

Looking for the parents or siblings of Newton CANNON (b.Aug 1761) who died in Scott Co. KY
in 1841. His wife was Betsey (JUETT) who was born in 1763. As their first child, Charlotte
was born in 1785, I believe their marriage would have been about 1784. Any information gratefully

I am seeking info . of my gggGrandfather George Wyer/ Wire/ Weir b. 5 May
1762 perhaps in the Loudoun Co. Va. area. I do not know who his parents were but it has been said
that he left Loudoun Co with his Uncle Peter Cornelison & was both in Rev. War.
Eventually George m. 1794 @ Fredrick Co. Elizabeth Finlay & 1804 Eunice Rogers
at Harrison Co. Va. I know Eunice's family was b. in the Fairfax Co area. I would appreciate any
info of Peter or George Wyer that can help me find his parents. Thank you.

BULLOCK, DALBY, FOX, POER, POOR, POORE, PRYOR,
SHIPP, WRIGHT -
I'm here in Texas with folks who migrated across the south either by way of Tennessee or the
Carolinas. Most of my folks seem to have entered the east coast by way of Virginia. I look for
the families of Nightingale Dalby, Robert Pryor, Richard Bullock, some
Poer/ Poore/ Poor somewhere there, Shipp family, Wright
family, and Fox family to name a few. I just recently discovered that my husband is a
descendant of the first governor of the Colony of Virginia, the Baron de la Warr by way
of Henry Fox I, II, and III to 96th District of SC. That was exciting. Virginia and its
records are extremely important to me. Thanks for any and all work that you do in that area.

Looking, without success so far, for Ary Ann Mitchell b ca 1818/19, supposedly in
Virginia, m Turner Harris June 1847 in either Va. or Tenn. He d in 1864 in Fayette Co. Tn.
No other info on her. Who were her parents- where was she b and where did she d? Any help will be
greatly appreciated.
