WATSON -
While searching Rev. War pension files, I came across John and Hannah Watson, who evidently tore out and mailed in a page from the family Bible listing the names and ages of their children. The state is Virginia but I can't make out the county. Does anyone know this family? John Watson was a private in the Virginia Militia during the Rev. War. He died in 1824. His wife Hannah was born in 1749 and was still alive in 1837 when she applied for his pension. They were married in Virginia in Feb. 1776. Their children (from the Bible page) were Mary b. 10 Mar 1777; Joseph T. b. 29 Oct 1778; John b. 3 Feb 1781; James b. 8 Oct 1784; Letishe b. 28 Mar 1786; Nancy G. b. 22 July 1788; and Betsy b. 20 Jan 1795. The spelling of the County looks something like Mathews...there is definitely a "th" in the middle, but I can't make it out.

CLEMENTS -
I am a descendant of William Clements (D-1760) of Amelia County, Va. Do you have any knowledge of him or his family? He was the son of Benjamin Clements and grandson of Francis Clements, Sr. who represented Surry County in 1699 in the House of Burgesses.
The Clements Family Members received large land grants in different sections of Colonial Virginia, and had large families who helped put the land to good use. I would appreciate any information you may have or information where I may go to learn more about the family. Thank You,

DOUGLAS, ELLIOTT, WOODALL -
I am looking for info on William Joseph Elliott b? died 21 July 1870 m 22 Aug 1847 in Rockingham Co, NC to Mary B. Douglas b ? d about Nov 1898. The 1870 Census for DeSoto Co, MS says they were both born in VA and has William as a Tin Maker. The children listed are:
Lizzy age 17 b SC
Samuel Douglas age 16 b SC
Robert McBeth age 11 SC
Joseph Gist age 11 SC
Lizzy died abt age 20, Samuel Douglas went to LA, twins Robert and Joseph stayed in MS. Robert was still in DeSoto Co MS on the 1880 Census. Joseph was in Panola Co, MS.
I am looking for info on William and Mary. Where in VA were they from? Who were their parents?? I am hoping the unusual middle names of the twins might be a lead to other relatives or close friends. I also found a Maryan Elliott m 1849 in Rockingham Co, NC to James Woodall. This might be a sister or relative to William? Any help would be so greatfully appreciated because this is my brick wall!!
